"16.6: (Before The Devil Knows You're Dead)" was recorded at House Of Music studios in Winterbach, Germany with Dennis Ward and Achim Köhler. The CD marks the group's first release with guitarist Magnus Karlsson (ALLEN/LANDE, STARBREAKER), who replaced Stefan Leibing last year. Returning guitarist Henny Wolter and Karlsson participated in the songwriting and pre-production, which took place at Karlsson's Stuntguitar Studio in Sweden. The band spent four weeks at House Of Music recording the effort, which was mastered by Ted Jensen at the Sterling Sound in New York City.

Several audio samples from "16.6: (Before The Devil Knows You're Dead)" are available for download at Frontiers.it.

PRIMAL FEAR's last album, "New Religion", in 2007 landed on the Swedish chart at No. 67. It also entered the German chart at No. 60. The CD was released in the U.S. on January 29, 2008 via Locomotive/Ryko. Guest musicians on the album include Kai Hansen (GAMMA RAY, ex-HELLOWEEN) and Simone Simons (EPICA).

Hands down, the WORST song I think I have ever heard. The most amateur guitar riff leading in to one of the worst chorus' in metal. Hands down, the WORST song I think I have ever heard. The most amateur guitar riff leading in to one of the worst chorus' in metal.

I thought the song was kinda cool. It´s never wrong with heavier riffing, even if it´s simple! And by the way the book of heavy metal is a cool track also : ) What´s wrong with you people? : )

If you ask what's wrong with the people I can tell you. Only good comments on the myspace video page and only bitching here on bm....the jealousy of unsuccessful musicians rules again. But most bands have learned to take it as a compliment to be ripped here, because then their stuff rules and it's worth to talk about it...:-)

I liked this song. And I think Dream Evil is not a good band. But Primal Fear has yet to disappoint me. Ralf still sounds awesome in this song.

Hey, this is a killer track. Why the haters. It's modern yet it's pure heavy fucking metal!! This song here is more heavy metal than most of the bands that get featured on Blabbermouth. the solo section is fantastic also. Can't wait for the album!

sorry, this is just a terrible song. bad. i could handle the cheesy computer fire and silly looking image they are trying for but the main thing, the song itself, is not good at all/.

C'mon anyone who's heard Nuclear Fire and Black Sun and says this crap song is just as good as that stellar material is a crack head.

This is the first time I've been truly disappointed after hearing a new P.F. song...hopefully this is the only track that sucks on the new record.

Primal Fear fan but man this sounds bad. Where is the drive? At least Morbid Angel has real flames around their drum kit in their crappy video.

This is embarrassing I'm sad to say. What the hell, I bet this is due to everyone complaining about the New Religion album which is awesome! They "dared" to try a newish direction and make some cooler more melodic music and now it's looks like it's heading this lame generic "tough" way with pitiful lyrics.
