KIUAS: Audio Interview Posted Online - May 10, 2009
An interview with Finnish power metallers KIUAS conducted at the inaugural installment of the Hammerfest festival (which was held April 24-25 at Pontins, Prestatyn Sands, Wales, United Kingdom) is available for streaming on the MySpace page of Wrexham, Wales, United Kingdom's "Metalheadz" show (scroll down in audio player).

KIUAS' video for the song "The Decaying Doctrine" can be viewed below. The clip was directed by Owe Lingvall of Village Road Film. The song comes off the group's third album, "The New Dark Age", which was released in the U.K. via Spinefarm Records, accompanied by reissues of the first two outings, "The Spirit of Ukko" and "Reformation". All three come with bonus tracks and expanded artwork.

"The New Dark Age" entered the official chart in the band's home country back in March 2008 at position No. 10.

An e-card for "The New Dark Age" is available at this location.

According to the band, "The [album's] cover art is the product of the visionary artist/musician Niklas Sundin (Cabin Fever Media). The picture is an original drawing in the style of renaissance woodcut illustrations, and portrays the members of KIUAS as the four — or in this case five — horsemen of the Apocalypse with a dismal landscape that combines ancient and modern times."
