MEGADETH Music To Be Featured In 'Land Of The Lost' Movie - May 11, 2009
MEGADETH mainman Dave Mustaine has issued the following audio update at TheLiveLine.com:

"I'm going to be working on the new Will Ferrell movie 'Land Of The Lost'... and going to be putting some music on that. I went and saw the movie last week and it was hilarious. I loved it. I love Will Ferrell; think he's hilarious anyways. But, yeah, we're getting ready to send some music up to these guys right now and you're listening to some in the background, and then I'll be heading up there this week to hopefully finish all this off with their guys. And man, how exciting for me."

"Land Of The Lost" is set to hit theaters on June 5. Check out a trailer below.

On January 7, MEGADETH commenced the recording process for its twelfth studio album at the band's own Vic's Garage studio in San Marcos, California. The CD is once again being helmed by acclaimed British producer Andy "Undie" Sneap, who produced MEGADETH's last album, "United Abominations" (May 2007, Roadrunner Records).

Tentatively due in September via Roadrunner, MEGADETH's forthcoming LP will be the group's first with guitarist Chris Broderick, who replaced Glen Drover at the end of 2007.

can't be any worse than them having a song in bill and ted's bogus journey.

Since they shutdown Duke Nukem forever, the themesong they recorded in 1999 is getting some play time.

Dave has a habit of opening his mouth too soon, as in before the contract is signed. Believe me, if Megadeth has even a single song in this it would be a miracle for them, otherwise expect a Megadeth song only to appear when the closing credits are rolling ala Dokken's Dream Warriors in Nightmare on Elmstreet II (or III?).

I always get nervous when Dave tries to become more POP-ular.

Will Ferrel is a funny guy.

Dave Mustaine = midlife crisis.

Still looking forward to the new Megadeth record, though.
I have a feeling this one will be more of a commercial success than UA was. Just a feeling.

Bill & Ted's Bogus Journey: Go To Hell
Last Action Hero: Angry Again
And now Land Of The Lost: What ever Dave has got up his sleeve.

Go To Hell was a killer song compared to anything Megadeth put out for the next 10 or 12 years following that song. Obviously Megadeth hit rock bottom when "Risk" came out, and has slowly put out a few decent songs for the last several years. I don't like everything Megadeth has done in the last decade, but I do like a good portion of it. Minus the entire "Risk" album, that album is utter shit, and I don't listen to it at all.

Fuck this movie (blatant rip-off of the 70's television series of the same title) and, fuck will farrell - a lame actor popular with the raised-on-google crowd.

It's not a ripoff. This is actually the second remake of the orignal Sid & Marty Krofft series I grew up watching in the early 70's, and the concept of a film version of LotL has been passed around Hollywood since the mid-90's. Here's a link:

Will Ferrell isn't my favorite comedic actor, not by a mile. But this time I may just have to check this out.

....I read Blabbermouth and realize I'm not nearly as pissed-off as some of you are! Chill out, people!

This movie looks funny and anything with Megadeth in it is just that much better!

Check out the video to the song "Crush 'em" from the film "Universal Soldier:The Return" - it also features Van Damme.

Mustaine is the man! Why dont you take your complaint in the pit you whiney little girls and try to voice it while he shreds to drown out your screams as I punch your teeth down your throat. Hes got more talent in his farts than you complainers have your ability ability to bitch like girls. Well maybe its close.
]\/[EGADET]-[ !!!!!!!!
Will Farrel not funny, have you seen step brothers?!

Funckin' rights.... but I have to disagree with your comment on Step Brothers... It was fucking hilarious , so is "old School", "Anchor man", "talladega Nights" and "Blades of Glory" was OK.
The guy is a fucking comedic genius.
...But keep up the punching teeth down the throat of bitching little fuck's @ Megadeth concerts...DIGGIN' IT.
Good job getting associated with a hollywood production MEGADAVE , it'll be worth it's weight in gold publicity wise (fuck the haters, they think it's all about being a scenster and can't seem to grasp the fact you operate a business)

(~CAIN~ of your 5-11-09 comment) Agree with you about "Risk" which was just an album DM maid cause someone else dared him too(if you were a real fan you would know that!) but if you don't like all the great stuff that came out after it, then you're definitely not a Megadeth fan.
