SEBASTIAN BACH At Citi Field: Soundcheck Clip Posted Online
- May 13, 2009
|
|
Former SKID ROW singer Sebastian Bach performed this past Saturday (May 9) for the New York Mets Autism Awareness Day at Citi Field in Flushing, New York. Bach played a short set in support of VH1 Classic Rock Autism, a campaign that is designed to help educate parents and build awareness about autism. VH1 Classic Rock Autism also helps to raise funds for a variety of autism research, advocacy and support organizations. Commented Sebastian: "What an incredible day at Citi Field! So glad I brought along the video camera! Here is the first installment of the 'Bach at Citi Field' show! This clip [see below] shows us getting to Citi Field and doing soundcheck at 10:00 a.m., two hours before the ballpark opened. They told me in an interview that will air on SNY network that I was the first-ever 'rock' performer to play Citi Field! I can now imagine what it was like [for] THE BEATLES to play Shea Stadium. The place is so huge that the slapback makes it virtually impossible to hear yourself while playing! Again and again I thank whoever invented in-ear monitors! Coming in future video clips: performance footage; hanging out with 'The Howard Stern Show''s Artie Lange, BabaBooey and Lisa G; talking about Artie's book 'Too Fat Too Fish'; taking pictures with Artie Lange and a bunch of kids. Yes, this is the tape they DON'T have at 'The Howard Stern Show'... Stay tuned to see what actually happened! Exclusive footage of BabaBooey's 'pitch' and the shocked reaction directly afterward! Yes, all that and more, coming your way as soon as possible." Bach is best known for selling 20 million albums as the former lead singer of SKID ROW. He has gone on to star on Broadway and television, including five seasons on CW's "Gilmore Girls", as well as hit shows on VH1, MTV and CMT. Bach's latest project is "Angel Down", his first solo album since 1999. The record features 14 new songs with a guest appearance by GUNS N' ROSES front man Axl Rose on three recordings, including a blistering version of AEROSMITH's "Back In The Saddle".

And you have classic 'Fan Who's Stuck in the Past' syndrome. Get over it! We wouldn't have heard him sing HALF of the stuff he has and know what he's truly capable of if he was still stuck in the one genre as lead singer of Skid Row.

Okay, no one else will say it so I guess I have to be the proverbial bad guy............hey Bach, you sounded like shit. That's right. Total shit.
And no, you could never possibly imagine what it was like for the Beatles to play Shea Stadium. That was nothing more than another failed attempt by you at trying to validate yourself. There is no comparison between you and the Beatles. The Beatles were a rock band in their prime playing the first show ever at a major outdoor stadium in front of about 55,000 people in 1965. You on the other hand, are a washed-up, gender-confused singer from an 80's rock band that's playing less than a handful of songs in front of maybe a couple thousand people tops before a regular season baseball game that is for the most part insignificant. A game that will only be remembered for the retarded radio show employee Bababooey's spastic, child-like first pitch.

Gee crankitup2, what got up your bum?? How much you hate the guy is beside the point -- and you obviously do, which means your post should be read on that basis and ignored anyway -- but you really must have a problem with your hearing to say he sounded like shit! I really think you need to get your hearing checked dude.

Nope. My hearing is fine. In fact, I have it checked regularly. I appreciate all of your concern and I realize that it is genuine but there is no need to worry little fellow. I am just fine.
While we are on the subject of my hearing, I just heard myself laughing at your feeble attempt to support this tool.
Your first name wouldn't happen to be Lickmore would it? Just wondering.

While the game itself may have been insignifigant, the event itself was a charity event for Autism Awareness. Whether you think he sounded like shit or not, it's pretty fucking cool of anyone to step up for charity...but then again you only seem to read what you want to in the story.

"then again you only seem" to be as big a moron as some of the other brainless sheep from the bach herd for assuming that I didn't read the article.
I read the whole story Einstein and I understand exactly what the event was and that there was a charity involved. I happen to have a family member that suffers from Autism. The charity event wasn't mentioned in my post because I respect the charity itself and also because it wasn't part of the discussion.
Glad to see he was able to step away from patting himself on the back and professing his love-of-self long enough to do a shitty job singing a couple songs for a great charity. There, satisfied?

ok, you half-wit fucktard...YOU were the one that called the game insignifigant, were you not? Would the game be insignifigant to your family member if they were involved in the event?
There's no need to be upset at Bach, or anyone else at the fact that you will never have a fraction of the talent or success as Bach has had.

Yes. I called the game insignificant. By insignificant I meant just a regular season, plain jane game. Not a playoff game, not a world series game, just an everyday game with a lame assed pre-game performer singing to a stadium full of empty seats.
By the way, I was never upset with Bach. I just don't like the guy.
As for talent, your mom can fill you in on my talents. Oh there's one more thing before I go, you don't have to call me dad here on Blabbermouth if you don't want to. It's okay. Now go fuck yourself.

Let me get this straight though...you want to wrassle me for disrespecting your mom? Pfffffffffffffft! The mere fact that you would even elude to something so childish confirms that you are well out of your league here.
Besides that, your reaction alone proves the effectiveness of the jab at your mom.
Be sure to tell her that I asked about her.

Wrassle?? You sound like some hillbilly from Kentucky or Carolina or something. I was merely pointing out the fact that you wouldn't have the balls to say that to someone's face...mine or anyone else on here. Clearly from your posts you're too fucking stupid to understand this. Your bitterness makes it crystal clear that you're upset that your life is going nowhere.

I used the term wrassle not because of where I am from but because it was something that I knew you could relate to redneck.
Like I said, you are out of your league. Now run along and get back to reading your comic books or whatever it is that you do down in the basement by yourself.

Gee, got the venom out of your systems now boys? Feeling better -- more like a 'man' now? That's good. BM is obviously therapeutic for you both. But may I suggest that you could do with other forms of therapy -- for your hatred. It really is a shame that it's gotten so bad that it's twisted your perceptions of reality to such a degree. I do feel sorry for you both.

Sorry dude. I shouldn't have included you in the above response. That was really for cranky2 (good one Dogface). Just being lazy. Your hearing and perceptions of great singing are obviously still intact as you miss hearing Sebastian sing with Skid Row so much. But I do think it's a shame that you can't at least enjoy 'Angel Down', if not all the other stuff he's done. So many see THIS album as being as good as 'Slave' and the PERFECT follow on from it. I don't get why you're not open to seeing that too.

Further to this, if you and all the others who hound him about this took the trouble to listen to what he has had to say on this, you'd know that he'd be open to working with Skid Row again if they were writing songs that he'd like to sing. They just aren't, and anyone who listens to their stuff can figure out why. But even that's irrelevant because they don't want to work with him and THAT is a far bigger problem.
That's why and many others I know see 'Angel Down' as GOLD and thank him for it. It's the closest we're going to get to hearing old 'Skid Row' in current day terms.
So the way I see it is that the people like you who keep harping on at him about it are just blindly banging your heads against brick walls for no good reason whatsoever and I dislike the fact that you're probably all quietly driving the poor man insane with your carping.

Maybe you all need a bit of 'Psycho Therapy' to deal with your hatred as well. (See the 4th post back) After all they do say that hatred is ultimately an expression of the ego's fear. Something for you to think about as well cranky2.
