LIMP BIZKIT Pays 'Tribute' To GUNS N' ROSES With New Tour Book - May 16, 2009
LIMP BIZKIT frontman Fred Durst's account on YFrog, a service run by ImageShack that lets users share their photos on Twitter, has been updated with a photo of LIMP BIZKIT's new tour book, which appears to be a tribute to the classic GUNS N' ROSES album "Appetite For Destruction".

The reunited original lineup of LIMP BIZKIT will embark on the "Unicorns N' Rainbows" tour in late May.

LIMP BIZKIT members Fred Durst and Wes Borland were featured in a March 2009 episode of rapper Snoop Dogg's variety talk show, "Dogg After Dark", which airs on MTV.

Regarding the band's decision to reunite for an upcoming tour and studio album, Durst said, "When you have the chemistry, or something that really works, you can go away for a while and do your thing, but LIMP BIZKIT will never work like it's supposed to work without the original DNA. The band sounds doper than we ever have, it's tighter than it's ever been, there's something happening — something very special happening with us. We needed that break, and now we're back, and it feels like we're stronger than ever."

LIMP BIZKIT announced in February its decision to return from an eight-year hiatus. Durst and Borland said in a joint statement, "We decided we were more disgusted and bored with the state of heavy popular music than we were with each other. Regardless of where our separate paths have taken us, we recognize there is a powerful and unique energy with this particular group of people we have not found anywhere else. This is why LIMP BIZKIT is back."

A new LIMP BIZKIT album, which would be the original group's first full-length effort since 2000, is also planned.

LIMP BIZKIT's first three albums have sold over 20 million copies in the U.S. alone, and another 13 million in the rest of the world.

I'm not a huge fan of GnR by any means. But Limp Bizkit is no where near as good as GnR ever was or will be.

Chinese Democracy was crap...but it still trumps anything LB have released.

Y'know, I was rather content when Creed and Limp Bizkit originally called it a day. Of course in that time the economy went to shit, and we had the worst US President in our history. But at least some decent music came out of it.

1. Unicorns
2. Rainbows
3. Limp Bizkit

The three gayiest things in the universe. They are just asking for trouble with a tour name like that. I can't believe nobody has mentioned this yet. Come on Wes, Black Light Burns was sweet go do some more records with them.

We all know Limp Bizkit is lame and immature. We all know the music is simplistic. We all know they were all about the big bucks and the rockstar life. Of course, all these things were true.

One other thing they were, though, was FUN! Go back and listen to "Faith" or "Nookie" and try not to laugh. It's lame on purpose, and so is the name of this tour.

I, for one, look forward to hearing this. I'll probably never buy it, but those few minutes I spend checking their new track out on MySpace will give me some laughs.

Makes me wonder home many of the folks bashing the shit out of LB now have some of their shit stashed away at the back of the cupboard.

This is one re-union which doesn't excite me. Having said that the over inflated egoes of Durst and Borland are better off together. Actually, Borland annoys me more than Fred Durst. There was this big commotion when he first left the band and since then has shown he isn't a great song-writer with a few failed projects and the most credible thing he did being a mix of NIN and A Perfect Circle going so far as to have ex-members of the said bands playing with him in Black Light Burns. Then complaining that the songs written for Marilyn Manson weren't accepted (not good enough) so then returns to the band he so resolutely slated in the music press.
Sorry, but your time has gone and there are now far better bands about than Limp Bizkit and we'll all be the better for it.

@The Crusher

Nice one! Hahaha

I thought LB's "tribute" to The WHo with Behind Blue Eyes was horrible, but this tops that. I really wish shit like this would just go away. I mean, how many LB fans are still in existence? They were a fad, kinda like spandex were with rockers in the '80s... seriously, LB, just let it die.

However! I can find something nice to say, they do put on a pretty good show... saw 'em on the Summer Sanitarium tour with Metallica.

LB has done nothing here to sanction legal action. By paying tribute to someone or band, you are doing just that, paying tribute. Now, if LB were to record a GnR song and claim it as their own, then yes, that would sanction legal action, but they are not. I'm pretty sure LB's management got permission from GnR's management.

If paying tribute was illegal, then all those tribute albums out there are illegal, but they are not.

If some of you people hate Limp Bizkit so much, why in the world did you click on a story with "Limp Bizkit" in the title?? I'm assuming you have a lot of extra time on your hands. But then you further waste time by anonymously talking crap about the band on here. Did your mothers not teach you "if you have nothing nice to say, don't say anything at all"? Did your fathers beat you? Did you even have a father? Or a mother? Were you raised by wolves? Go back to listening to whatever music you like now, knowing you'll talk smack about it in ten years when it's not so cool.
