....I heard (maybe through this site) that RHCP is on hiatus for at least a year, and no plans on reconvening at this point. Who knows if we've seen the last of them, which would be a shame! Saw them live, and it was awesome! I just wish I could have seen them back in the early 90's.

I saw RHCP both in early 90s & last tour, they are one band that actually improved. They were thin sounding live then, and Fruciante laid back more, he was definitely out front more now, they actually jam now, I was blown away their last tour, wasn't expecting it to be that "rockin". Chad is solid too. snappy style.

Thank god van halen got rid of sammy gaygar before he absolutely destroyed the legacy of van halen. Chickenfoot is hands down the gayest name ever led by the gayest man ever. His music sucks donkey balls.

people,
i was 14 when i discovered vh 1 and 2 and from then on i thought dave and the boys were gods. i went into the depression stage when in 1985 they announced the party was over. when i found out sammy was going to try to carry van halen, i thought hell yeah! this dude has the attitude. he may pull this off. i really think he did. every time i get a new vehicle, i bring "for unlawful carnal knowledge" so that i can break my "new" used vehicle out to "poundcake". don't get me wrong, "unchained" is the best vh thumper of all time, but give credit where credit is due,..anyway, the point is this, sammy hagar did not ruin van halen. edward van halen did that (with or without his big brother, and his brother in law manager)
eddie van halen has done nothing but play the fans for the past decade. he fires sammy, and decides to play with roth again, then decides, he needs a hip replacement?????? then hires gary cherone, puts out a new cd, (i love "once" and "without you" is tolerable) but due to poor sales, cherone is fired. i left a "van halen 3" concert 30 minutes into it because they had hired the wrong person.
as for eddie's talent, listen to van halen 3, if you can. listen to the sorry as shit "it's about time" on the best of both worlds cd. it is just a jumble of noise. my advice to eddie van halen is this ,
"start drinking heavily, we liked you when you were an alcoholic and wish that you had the fun about you that you had then. so what, if dave was an asshole, or sammy was into tequla, it paid the frickin' bills and ya'll made good music"
sammy, you have lost your diety position. you have not put out a good cd since you left van halen. yeah, there is a good song here and there. but for the most part, especially that ten13 cd, sucks to the highest point of crap!
as for chickenfoot? there are a lot of ignorant people out there. the question about "chickenfoot"...it is the PEACE sign. all you twats out there claim to be a fan. it is the peace sign in a box for all of you crack head, dense, etc........
well, after bringing the van halen tin god down to earth and the fact that sammy hasn't done as well, musically, what do ya say?
eddie van halen is a user.
eddie van halen is a has been
eddie is going to keep revolving singers to get you to pay him!!!
eddie is dried up and won't admit it

When first joined chili peppers they made a video about the making of their album and they sung a song making fun of hagar called "Sammy Hagar Weekend"

Seems as if it's a song by Thelonious Monster called "Sammy Hagar Weekend" (from the Stormy Weather album):

"Well, it's a Sammy Hagar weekend
It's a Sammy Hagar state of mind
It's a Sammy Hagar weekend
It's a Sammy Hagar way of life

We're gonna drink some beer
We're gonna smoke some pot
We're gonna snort some coke
and then drive over 55

Cuz it's a Sammy Hagar weekend
Oh, let the big man through

We got our Metallica t-shirts
We got our little tiny baby moustache
Got a jacked up Camaro
Sittin' in the parking lot
of Anaheim stadium

drinkin' beer
smokin' pot
snortin' coke
drivin' over 55
cuz it's a Sammy Hagar Weekend
It's a big mans groove

just out cruisin' n boozin'
on a Sammy Hagar weekend."

They aren't making fun of Sammy Hagar with that song, they are praising him in that song.

And for the guy that thinks it is a peace sign in the a box is right itis a peace sign and a chickenfoot combined. Sammy also had the K flipped backwards in the name. it's all about marketing, and they are serious about marketing this band to be fun, peaceful and a real kick ass rockand roll band.

you are right. it is a chickenfoot. foolish me, for trying to express my opinion about another fan's questioning about the "box". i have been to many hagar/van hagar shows, and have seen a lot of footage of him/them on television, and sammy tends to give the "peace" sign quite often. if this has disrupted your sleeping habits, or your abilities to be nice to people, well, it is my opinion. i am on this thing to talk about one of the greatest and one of the most underatest (i know this is not proper english, it rhymes) artists of rock, sammy hagar.
p.s. i'm not a crackhead. i'm a jack (daniel's) head
ha ha!
