It's Official: AEROSMITH To Perform Entire 'Toys In The Attic' Album On Tour - June 3, 2009
Steven Tyler and Joey Kramer of AEROSMITH stopped by the WZLX radio station in Boston, Massachusetts on Tuesday, June 2. They talked to Chuck Nolan, Carter Alan, and Kenny Young about their upcoming tour, the upcoming books, jamming with members of LED ZEPPELIN in London and getting wedding invitations. They also confirmed reports that they will play the whole ""Toys In The Attic" album on the upcoming trek with ZZ TOP.

You can now listen to the interview at this location.

Asked which album he'd like to play in its entirety on tour, AEROSMITH guitarist Joe Perry recently told VH1 Classic Radio, "I think 'Toys In The Attic' would be fun. We do a lot of songs off the first four records anyway. We've jammed on 'Uncle Salty' onstage a few times. The later records with more songs on them, they would take up too much time in the set. We need to leave some room for some of the other standards."

"Toys In The Attic", AEROSMITH's third album, was released in 1975 and is one of their most successful efforts. It includes the classic singles "Walk This Way" and "Sweet Emotion", as well as "Adam's Apple", "Big Ten-Inch Record", "Round And Round", "Uncle Salty" and the title track.

By playing one record from front to back on this tour, AEROSMITH will join the ranks of other classic rock artists doing the same this summer. MÖTLEY CRÜE plans to perform 1989's "Dr. Feelgood" in its entirety, while JUDAS PRIEST is going to blast through all of 1980's "British Steel".

Sorry, I can't think of one Aerosmith song that sounds better live. Toys is killer and Rocks is right there as well.

Please don't mention Train kept a rollin, Sweet Emotion or Walk this Way. They all sound horrible live.

Aerosmith has not done anything worthy of their name since "Get a Grip" and even that is a stretch. This reeks of them copying what Priest is doing with "British Steel". The only difference is Judas Priest still writes material worthy of the name.

Wow- this should get some old-school fans to come out.

I wonder if for the next tour they'll be playing nothing but horrendous, outside-writer penned power ballads to win back the fat, bored suburban housewife demographic they'll no doubt alienate with this move.

CRYIN'.... CRAZY.... AMAZING....

Did anybody read their book? i remember one part when Steven Tyler heard "You see Me Cryin'" on the radio and did'nt recognize who it was. When he asked Joe Perry, he was informed that it was an Aerosmith song. LOL

Aerosmith hasn't done much rocking since they reformed in the 80s. The above posters nailed it when they say that the bored housewives just want the Diane Warren and Desmond Child songs played live.

Sad... just freakin' sad.

Talk about your sell out bands, this is one of them.

From Steve Tyler's opposite lyrics "living it up cause I'm going down / my get up and go must have got up and went" to the saccarine ballads, this band can't overcomes that no matter how much tasty soloing Perry and Whitford lay down.

Aerosmith 2010: The FIRST farewell tour.

Play all of Rocks, cherry pick 2 or 3 songs from each of the first album, Get Your Wings, Toys, Draw the Line, Night in the Ruts, Done With Mirrors and Pump.

Throw in Joanie's Butterfly, Jailbait, Chip Away the Stone, and Hangman Jury and you've got yourself a show

Would also love to see them do Rocks live, that album is so underrated, but really can't complain about 'Toys' either.

Jesus H Christ! Why does every band have to pick one of their top albums and play it in it's entirety? I could see if it was a rock opera like Queensryche's "Operation Mindcrime" or Alice Cooper's "Welcome to my nightmare".I guess it's cool if you're a huge fan of whatever band you're going to see. It just seems like every other band now is planning on playing one of it's more popular albums in it's entirety.

Thank god they're not playing Permanent Vacation or any of the garbage they have put out since then.

My personal fav is Rock In A Hard Place. Yes, I know that Perry does not play on it but I think that album has got a little extra bite to it.
