Former
DEEP PURPLE members
Jon Lord and
Glenn Hughes are among the musicians who performed at the
ChildLine Rocks concert this past Monday (June 1) at the IndigO2 in London, England.
Francesco at
Deep Purple Italia, who attended the show, tells
BLABBERMOUTH.NET: "
Jon Lord hit the stage first, performing a version of his
'Pictured Within' song with guest vocalist
Steve Balsamo. He then played a version of
PURPLE's
'Child In Time' with
Balsamo singing and
THUNDER playing.
Glenn Hughes came on stage shortly after and played
'You Keep On Moving' (from the
DEEP PURPLE 1976 album
'Come Taste The Band') with
Jon Lord (and
THUNDER). After this song,
Lord left and Hughes performed another
PURPLE classic (
'Mistreated') and his solo hit
'Soul Mover'. The duo was back together on stage for the 'grand finale' — a version of
'Smoke On The Water' played by all the bands and artists that attended the event."
