DC4 Begins Work On New Material, Seeks New Label Home - June 9, 2009
DC4 — the Los Angeles-based hard rock band featuring Rowan Robertson (ex-DIO) alongside brothers Jeff Duncan (ARMORED SAINT, ODIN) on lead vocals and guitar, Shawn Duncan (ODIN) on drums and Matt Duncan on bass — has parted ways with Chavis Records and has begun writing material for the follow-up to its latest release, "Explode". To "turn the knobs to 11," DC4 has enlisted the talents of famed music producer Bill Metoyer (SLAYER, CORROSION OF CONFORMITY, FATES WARNING) and is looking to record this fall.

Commentedd Metoyer: "I look forward to working with these guys again. They are first-class musicians, write great songs and are a class act all the way around."

Added Duncan: "Now that we are free from Chavis Records, we are looking forward to recording a powerful, guitar-filled, in-your-face DC4 CD."

Stated Robertson: "I am very excited and honored to work again with Bill Metoyer and my brothers in DC4; this cd is gonna be killer!"

DC4 and Bill Metoyer will be actively shopping the upcoming album to various labels. Interested companies are encouraged to contact DC4 or Bill Metoyer at dc4online@verizon.net.

Video footage of DC4 performing at the FlashRock studios can be viewed below.

DC4 will perform at a show to benefit Save A Life, a no-kill animal shelter, on July 3 at the Key Club in Hollywood, California. The event will be hosted by KNAC.COM's Diana DeVille. Doors open at 4 p.m., music starts at 5 p.m. This is a 15+ show.

Jeff Duncan and Shawn Duncan of ODIN fame and notable for their appearances in "The Decline Of Western Civilization - The Metal Years" formed DC4 with brother Matt Duncan in 1995 and released their debut EP, "Mood Swings", produced by Joe Floyd (BRUCE DICKINSON, WARRIOR). In 2001, DC4 released "Volume One", which was produced by Joey Vera. Robertson, who is best known for his dynamic guitar wizardry on DIO's "Lock Up The Wolves" album, joined the ranks in 2006.

"Explode" was straight-up awesome. That follow-up sounds like a hell of a task to achieve but it looks like they got the right person to help them with it.
