TWISTED SISTER To Perform On 'Live With Regis And Kelly' - June 17, 2009
TWISTED SISTER will perform on "Live with Regis and Kelly", a syndicated American television morning talk show hosted by Regis Philbin and Kelly Ripa, on Thursday, July 16.

TWISTED SISTER will be signing copies of its new release, "Stay Hungry 25th Anniversary Edition", at two separate in-store events on Tuesday, June 30:

12:30 p.m - J&R Music, 23 Park Row, New York City, NY
7:30 p.m. - Looney Tunes, 31 Brookvale Ave, West Babylon, NY

Any music fan that buys the CD or vinyl of "Stay Hungry 25th Anniversary Edition" in any participating independent record store will receive a free gift from the band: a DVD of the TWISTED SISTER 1984 "Uncut Live At San Bernadino" concert. Originally broadcast on MTV back in the day as the "Stay Hungry Live" concert, it's been commercially unavailable for years and never available as DVD. June 30, 2009 is the only day and the only way this DVD is going to be made available and only through participating, independent record stores and will be limited to the stock on hand in each location.

Commented guitarist Jay Jay French, "While other bands have made exclusive deals with big box chains and discounters, TWISTED SISTER remembers all the independent record shops who have supported us through the years."

A list of the participating independent retailers running this promotion will be posted on TwistedSister.com on Wednesday, June 24.

A listening party for the 25th-anniversary reissue of TWISTED SISTER's "Stay Hungry" album is available on Rhino.com. Due on June 30, the set features loads of bonus material, including one brand new track, "30", that the band recently recorded.

The package includes:

* "Stay Hungry" remastered
* Ten never-before-heard songs originally demoed for "Stay Hungry"
* Five early demos of songs from "Stay Hungry"
* One brand new song
* One rare radio spot using "SMF" as the music bed

"Stay Hungry" bonus tracks:

* "Death From Above"
* "Prime Motivator"
* "Were Not Gonna Take It"
* "Death Run"
* "This One's For You"
* "SMF"
* "We're Coming On"
* "Call My Name"
* "Burn In Hell"
* "Pay The Price"

Wow I can't believe it's been a quarter of a century since this album was released. 1984 doesn't seem THAT far back :-)

For God's sake they released it 25 years ago, they remixed it to sound shitty a few years back they made the songs into Christmas Music..I have a feeling Gene Simmons is involved here somehow...I think that TS should call it a day if they cant think of new things to do!!

Oh how proud they must be.

I love how these guys can bash a lot of other bands, doing a lot more, and continue to keep their heads above ground.

Go away...

Granted "Stay Hungry" with the hit song We're Not Gonna Take It was by far their best known and biggest seller, but really it was their first album "Under The Blade" that you could listen to all the way through, with their second one "You Can't Stop Rock N' Roll" being almost as good.

But sadly Stay Hungry and everything TS did after is mostly commercial 80's MTV fluff.

Come on guys, get your arses in the studio so you can get some good hate going again and muster up some new songs already.Forget these songs that couldn't cut it back then.........start writing and knockin heads like the old days.I'll still go see these guys live everytime they hit the NYC area anyway.Never let me down yet.I'll save my $$$$$$ for a live show and listen to the old Stay Hungry thanks anyway.

I remember the MTV airing of the show. It was intense and it was also a simulcast but what MTV concert I really want to get my hands on is the Hagar Schon Aaroson Shrieve (HASA) concert.

I think they should change the album title to $tay Hungry. Christmas songs and now this tripe? Come on boys, should have invested your money better instead of these bs gigs.
