TWISTED SISTER: New Song Available For Streaming - June 17, 2009
A new TWISTED SISTER song, "30", which the band recorded for the 25th-anniversary reissue of the "Stay Hungry" album, is available for streaming at Noisecreep.com.

TWISTED SISTER will perform on "Live with Regis and Kelly", a syndicated American television morning talk show hosted by Regis Philbin and Kelly Ripa, on Thursday, July 16.

TWISTED SISTER will be signing copies of "Stay Hungry 25th Anniversary Edition" at two separate in-store events on Tuesday, June 30:

12:30 p.m - J&R Music, 23 Park Row, New York City, NY
7:30 p.m. - Looney Tunes, 31 Brookvale Ave, West Babylon, NY

Any music fan that buys the CD or vinyl of "Stay Hungry 25th Anniversary Edition" in any participating independent record store will receive a free gift from the band: a DVD of the TWISTED SISTER 1984 "Uncut Live At San Bernadino" concert. Originally broadcast on MTV back in the day as the "Stay Hungry Live" concert, it's been commercially unavailable for years and never available as DVD. June 30, 2009 is the only day and the only way this DVD is going to be made available and only through participating, independent record stores and will be limited to the stock on hand in each location.

Commented guitarist Jay Jay French, "While other bands have made exclusive deals with big box chains and discounters, TWISTED SISTER remembers all the independent record shops who have supported us through the years."

A list of the participating independent retailers running this promotion will be posted on TwistedSister.com on Wednesday, June 24.

A listening party for the 25th-anniversary reissue of TWISTED SISTER's "Stay Hungry" album is available on Rhino.com.

"While other bands have made exclusive deals with big box chains and discounters, TWISTED SISTER remembers all the independent record shops who have supported us through the years."

meaning this:

"Wal_mart, Best Buy, K-Mart....hell, even 7-11 gave us the middle finger....We had to go back to square one...you know??"

I like Twisted Sister, but this song -- they should really just give it up. Not good. Well, its not terrible really but its way, way generic. Nothing special about it at all. Let us remember you guys for SMF and Stay Hungry.

COMMENT | I'm sure they are all nice guys but.....

Catchy and anthemic in the pure TS tradition.
Only problem is that it's not so heavy, record a new album and make it HEAVY and you'll be fine lads.

When the fuck was TS ever heavy? They're a rock band. This is a rock song, and a good one.

You guys are cocks.

Stay Hungary was one of the better records available in 1984. And yes, it was considered heavy metal back then.

Why did they put the "cut" version of the San Bernadino show on "Twisted Sister: The Video Years"? Who the fuck would want the edited version if there's a complete version available? How many times are they going to re-package, re-record, and re-release the same old songs? Sorry boys, I'm not running down to my local record store to buy another copy of "Stay Hungry".

Because they did not have access to an uncut version at the time of relesase.

BTW this is the first time they re-package and re-release Stay Hungry and it has loads of never before heard songs on it. Still Hungry was a new recording (although not a very good one) because at the time Atlantic didn't want release the rights to the original album and the band wanted the album to sound heavier...
