Hard-hitting Danish four-piece
THE BURNING has parted ways with guitarist
Rasmus Normand and replaced him with
Alex Kjeldsen (ex-
DAWN OF DEMISE).
Commented vocalist
Johnny Haven: "This is not a bad break-up — we are still good friends with
Rasmus and he still wishes the best for
THE BURNING. It simply got harder and harder for him to find the time to play metal. We are very proud and thankful for the time he has served in
THE BURNING and we wish the best of luck to him, his soon-to-be wife, and their newborn child."
He continued, "We have known
Alex since we toured with
DAWN OF DEMISE, and his playing style is tailor-made for
THE BURNING. He can shred, thrash, groove, and most importantly, he can play super-heavy, and he is a super-cool dude, even though he has long hair, he he... We have known this for a while and have already started working on new material with
Alex, and we can't wait to start playing live gigs again, and perhaps bring a few of the new songs with us on the road, on an upcoming tour that will be announced shortly."
