CAVALERA CONSPIRACY: New Tour Dates Announced - June 27, 2009

CAVALERA CONSPIRACY — the new project featuring SEPULTURA founding members Max (guitar, vocals) and Igor Cavalera (drums) alongside SOULFLY guitarist Marc Rizzo — has scheduled the following dates:

Aug. 01 - Ankkarock Festival - Korso, Vantaa, FIN
Aug. 07 - Summer Sonic Festival - Osaka, JPN
Aug. 09 - Summer Sonic Festival - Tokyo, JPN
Aug. 20 - Pukkelpop Festival - Kiewit-Hasselt, BEL
Aug. 22 - Trutnov Open Air - Trutnov, CZR
Sep. 04 - 2 Days A Week Festival - Vienna, AUT
Sep. 05 - B1 Club - Moscow, RUS

"Inflikted", the debut album from CAVALERA CONSPIRACY, sold 9,000 copies in the United States in its first week of release to debut at No. 72 on The Billboard 200 chart.

Johny Chow (a.k.a. John Mark Bechtel; FIREBALL MINISTRY, SOULS OF WE, ex-SYSTEMATIC, MY RUIN) was recruited by CAVALERA CONSPIRACY to play bass on the group's European and U.S. tours as the replacement for Joe Duplantier of the French progressive death metallers GOJIRA. Duplantier, who laid down all the bass tracks on CAVALERA CONSPIRACY's debut album, "Inflikted", was busy in the studio working on the new GOJIRA CD and was unable to join CAVALERA CONSPIRACY on the road.

Chow played his first show with CAVALERA CONSPIRACY on May 30, 2008 at the Electric Weekend in Madrid, Spain.

	Max wrote the vast majority of Sepiltura's music. Marc Rizzo is 50x the guitarist Andreas Kisser will ever be. The bass is irrelevant like always. This is pretty much what Sepultura would sound like now with better lead guitar work

	Better keeping it solo away from the present "awesome" Sepultura "A-Lex" line-up. I am one who likes the newer version of Sepultura, Soulfly and CC.

	CC is some intense shit, Max and Igor released one of the best metal albums of 2008, besides Gojira what else sounds as badass as this? does anybody know if there gonna work on a new album?

	Uh , Sepultura was known for their leads. Oh Ok. If you say so To say all Rizzo does is shred is pretty narrow minded and goes so far as proving you really know very little about lead guitar and even less about Rizzos work. Then again to each his own. I am sure the lead to the Beatle Happy Birth really awes you. That is not a slam, just seems like you don't respect and or understand the lead guitar role in a band. I like some of Andreas melodies, but can't for the life of me remember a truly memorable solo.
