LIMP BIZKIT's UFC 100 Concert Canceled

LIMP BIZKIT's previously announced July 10 concert Mandalay Bay Beach in Las Vegas, Nevada as part of the UFC 100 weekend has been called off. The band has issued the following statement regarding the cancelation: " LIMP BIZKIT did NOT, in any way, cancel the UFC 100 concert in Las Vegas. Truth is UFC and Interscope Records [ LIMP BIZKIT's record label] could not come to an agreement on certain DVD rights. With all respect to Mandalay Bay, the UFC were also unhappy with LIMP BIZKIT's decision of wanting to switch the performance from the Beach at Mandalay Bay with its inappropriate layout for a heavy rock concert with LIMP BIZKIT, basically a stage in front of a pool, to a more standard concert venue also located at the Mandalay Bay, which was the House Of Blues. The UFC expressed they wanted a 'party vibe' for this event and would not settle for any venue besides the Beach for this and other reasons. "First, LIMP BIZKIT would like to confirm we are HUGE UFC fans and will always be, but feel it is unfair for UFC to falsely confirm and advertise that LIMP BIZKIT will be performing to only change their minds after many people have rearranged their lives and bought tickets to be in Vegas for this special concert. "On that note, we are proud to announce that we will still be performing on the same night out of respect for our fans. The details of when and where will follow shortly. "Again, all respect to UFC for inviting us in the first place. We will continue to support the UFC because it is our favorite MMA event." LIMP BIZKIT frontman Fred Durst was recently interviewed on the "FOX Fight Game" show with host Mike Straka. Listen to the seven-minute chat below.

Stupid fucks... first off UFC asks them to play and they can't be bothered to play the show on the stage UFC wants them to which makes a lot more sense. It is a UFC celebration not LIMP DICK-KIT so why wouldn't they want things to be their way?
Inapropriate layout for a rock concert? Ever heard of a party? If there is a stage, sound system, lights, etc. then go fucking play the show idiots.
This was a DUMB move on part of Limp Bizkit because this was probably their one shot at trying to get fans on a large scale to realize they are back. Now they fucked over their chances.
Sad to see this is all about Limp and not the UFC 100... wow the never to be invited to something so cool and then refuse to play because they want to pick the area and stage. I guess when MTV gave two shits about you and put you on TV these complaints weren't valid but now they are.
Pick a REAL band to play UFC 100 please!

The venue does suck for a rock concert, but it has been good enough for Kiss a couple of years back.
It is a great place for a party band like Billy Idol, GoGo's and other soft rock band.

I think the DVD issue was probably the true deal breaker as that is much more of a cash cow on both sides (UFC and Interscope) than the performance side of things. I think LB would've done the show regardless of the venue as they prolly would've been paid the same either way. Knowing about similar situations other artists have been in like this where management/labels have contracts with their artists where they can exert their will upon in certain aspects, e.g., using thier likeness, this sounds rather straight-forward.

Wow I guess you pretty much respect everything then if you can respect someone who spends years trashing Limp Bizkit and Fred Durst and even a month before this reunion said he would never play in that band again... as soon as a $ is held in front of his eyes he is back on board like nothing ever happened. You sure have a pretty messed up sense of respect my friend. I have no respect for anyone who contradicts themselves in such and way.
I used to respect Wes until he rejoined Bizkit now he is a sellout tool who spent years trying to earn the respect of the music world and create something of his own only to throw it all away for a few quick bucks. Fuck Wes.

I was hoping some shit would come up and these failures would not ass up my ppv on the 11th. Last thing I wanted when watching fights is some wigger'd up asshole and his assclown backup band ruining the vibe.
Oh, AND fuck all of you trashing the UFC. Change your tampons and go paint your nails, and realize that just because people are into something you don't understand/like, that they aren't the same jocks that beat you up in middle school.

The UFC is better off without this lame band. UFC 100 is bigger then Limp Bizkit. Get a real band to play. Earache sponsors one of the fighters. Get a band from the Earache label to perform.

You really think having a bunch of limp bizkit fans in water sounds like a good idea? someone is going to drown in the pool and the whole event will be ruined....let them do their thing at some GA venue what they are used to.... it can still be sponsored by UFC, but why do LB have to play a show to some 'party atmosphere', when the venue itself is a dumb ass fuckin idea for a rock concert with mosh pits.

Limp Bizkit pulling out is a blessing in disguise for the UFC, i'm a big fan of UFC and i'm sure I could speak for a large proportion of other UFC fans that if you were to turn up at UFC 100 and Limp Bizkit start playing it would thoroughly fuck me off. (Unless Bisping run on stage and ground and pound Fred Durst).
For fuck sake UFC is extreme fighting, get a proper band to play, not some washed up shitty ex pop stars.
