Heavy Rain Causes Cancelation Of First 'Metal' Day At Greece's ROCKWAVE Festival - June 29, 2009

According to Metalzone.gr, heavy rain has forced the cancelation of the the first "metal" day at this year's edition of the Rockwave festival, which is being held at Terravibe Park, Malakasa, Greece.

Among the bands that were scheduled to perform at today's (Monday, June 29) event were MÖTLEY CRÜE, W.A.S.P., ARCH ENEMY, MONSTER MAGNET, VOIVOD, LAUREN HARRIS and INACTIVE MESSIAH.

No announcement has yet been made regarding how this may affect tomorrow's Rockwave lineup, which is scheduled to include appearances by SLIPKNOT, MASTODON, SAXON, KYLESA, TORCHE, DOWN and LITA FORD, among others.

	Ozzfest 2004 was canceled due to a hurricane in my area. You know, that was the good one...like Superjoint, Slayer, Judas Priest, Sabbath. Yeah that one....Wish this gig well....maybe all hope isn't lost..LOL

	the fans are gutted, i mean come on>>>>Greece is roasting hot at this time of year....if there would be an event you'd expect to go without a hitch this is it... It was red hot at Glastonbury this year....now thats where you'd expect the rain....haha
