CANDIRIA To Release Four-Volume Set Of Rarities And Remixes - July 1, 2009
Brooklyn's jazzed-infused-metal experimentalists CANDIRIA are back and once again ready to cross the lines of convention as they release a four-volume set of rarities and remixes, "Toying With The Insanities". Volumes one and two of "Toying With the Insanities" will be made available on September 9 on Rising Pulse Records, while the final two volumes are slated for an early 2010 release. All four volumes will be issued digitally via iTunes, Amazon and other digital retailers, while 1,000 limited CDs of Volume One and 300 limited LPs of Volume Two will be pressed.

"Toying With The Insanities" marks the band's first release since March 2009's "Kiss The Lie" which was delayed two years due to constraints with the band's previous label. After numerous speed bumps, "Kiss The Lie" was released on a small scale, without the assistance of a major label.

The remixed tracks on "Toying With The Insanities" were taken from CANDIRIA's first three albums and will feature contributions from underground, eclectic acts such as DALEK, DUB TRIO, GHOSTS OF THE CANAL, KAYO DOT and members of THE DILLINGER ESCAPE PLAN, FISHBONE, PEEPING TOM and more.

"This is something that [frontman] Carley Coma and I have discussed for a few years and since I now have my own label and CANDIRIA officially owns the rights to the first three releases, we decided to put the series out," comments CANDIRIA guitarist John Lamacchia.

"Toying With The Insanities Volume One" track listing:

01. Divided (Remixed by Dub Trio with Joel Hamilton)
02. Faction (Remix by Edgey)
03. Pages (Revisitation by Kayodot)
04. Tribes (Remix by Budzy)
05. Conjuring Spirits (Performed by Ghosts of the Canal)
06. Mental Crossover (Remix by Pole)
07. Three Times Again (Remixed by HighKoo and Mr.Delaroid)
08. Spectator (Performed by Ken Schalk)

It's a bloody shame they got into that accident and became millionaires...i mean not for them, but for the fans ...it seems as if they just can't be bothered with constant touring and the road work, understandibly so, i don't know if i'd keep going like that if i became a millionaire over night!

COMMENT | I doubt they're millionaires...

I sent bm an email ahead of time with the release date and everything but they didn't post anything about it.
I miss this band. Definately one of the BEST live bands EVER.
The lawsuit didn't end the band. I remember John had quit for awhile and came back, then Ken moved to Cali to be with his now wife (congrats on the baby). He still goes back to Brooklyn from time to time to work with Carly and HOPE KILLS FEAR.
John has SPYLACOPA (the ep is Awesome GET IT!!!)plus he and Mike have a band called A FAMILY PLOT. There are a few more things floating around out there but thats a good place to start.

As far as Kiss The Lie goes I heard the old labels "itunes" version first so there are a few slight things I prefer over Johns Label RISING PULSE's version but they are BOTH worth having.
