CHILDREN OF BODOM will return to North America this fall to headline a massive, month-long tour. The 20-city trek will launch on Friday, September 18 at Lupo's Heartbreak Hotel in Providence, Rhode Island and will run through October 14 in Honolulu, Hawaii. Support will come from THE BLACK DAHLIA MURDER and SKELETONWITCH.

CHILDREN OF BODOM recently released a 79-song digital box set exclusively through iTunes. It retails for $49.99.

To view the complete track listing, which does not include any previously unreleased material, go to this location.

CHILDREN OF BODOM was forced to cancel several shows on the No Fear Energy Tour with LAMB OF GOD due to injuries sustained by guitarist and frontman Alexi Laiho. Laiho, 30, broke his shoulder in April when he was ejected from his tour bus bunk after the vehicle took a sharp turn. Laiho and the rest of CHILDREN OF BODOM were touring North America in support of the band's critically acclaimed album "Blooddrunk".

CHILDREN OF BODOM will embark on a tour of South America and Mexico in September. Support on the trek will come from AMORPHIS.

When are these new school "metal" bands gonna stop covering "Rebel Yell"?

That's like the 10th version I can think of...

Looks like the record company is trying to squeeze out as much profit from COB as possible. I love COB even though the last album was ok, but why release another album of cover songs that most fans have 4/5 of them. I'm sorry, but I won't buy it. I'll download it for the songs I haven't heard. In my opinion COB shouldn't do this. They should concentrate on making a great record of more than 8 orignial short songs and do this before most fans get bored of the cover band thing. Alexi u still da man!

No interest in this at all! A real stop gap release. That said the band have been off the boil for a couple of albums now though so no need to rush another I guess.

...That's an awesome tune, I can't wait to hear that!

I think this is an interesting idea.... something to tie-over fringe fans until a new "real" CD comes out.

someone needs to tell these guys that Britney Spears' cover was a JOKE when they released it for the first time....but to actually put it on a record and release it to the public is a bad move for their image.

A cover is supposed to be a tribute to a song that has inspired them to be what they are.....obviously Britney hasn't done it...but who knows maybe Alexi got this girly look from her.

90% of the album is already available, Rebel Yell has been around since at least 2003. I'd rather get a decent new album than a collection of covers that are pretty easy to find if you look.

Where is it in law that a cover version is supposed to be a tribute to a song that has inspired you???
Its merely a band copying anothers song.
If you dont like this album maybe just not buying it would be a good idea.

this band has been sliding downhill since Something Wild. But they're still better than most of the shit out there these days.

This cover album though? I'm not impressed with the song selection, and COB is just not good at doing covers. The originals are always better.

Agreed. I've never had a chance to hear Something Wild, but I have Hatebreeder and Follow the Reaper both and they're like two sides of the same coin, but I don't know what happened next because Hate Crew Death Roll didn't even pique my intrest, Are You Dead Yet was Nu-Metal and I just didn't like the songs off BloodDrunk (Dumb title too). Hopefully this is a return to the style & tuning from Hatebreeder.

Do you guys bitch about everything? It's just a freaking cover album, who cares if they're rereleasing songs they've recorded before? Who cares if they've sucked since Hate Crew Deathroll?

Those Slayer and Cooper songs were released on the Something Wild Deluxe edition and Trashed, Lost, and Strung Out respectively.
