KISS Fulfills Cancer Patient's Dream

William Croyle of Kentucky Enquirer reports: Critter Smith flew on an airplane for the first time June 27. "It was awesome taking off and looking out the window at how high we were," he said. But that was nothing compared to what was waiting for him and his mom, Carol, after they landed in Milwaukee. They were flown there as guests of KISS, one of the world's most famous rock-n-roll bands, for a concert that night. Critter got to meet the band — Gene Simmons, Paul Stanley, Eric Singer and Tommy Thayer — before the show, take pictures during the show and returned home with a stash of memorabilia almost too big to carry. "When Tommy was on stage, he came down and gave me his pick," Critter said. "And Eric walked right up to me and gave me his drumsticks. It was pretty sweet." The fact of the matter is this is a PR move to make up for the fact that Gene and Paul gave Eric Carr his walking papers while he was on he was battling cancer.
Here's where I shit on them....KISS BLOWS and has been washed up for years! Hang up your cod pieces losers! I wonder how long it will be that Gene and Paul retire and hire a couple of other douche bags to fill in for them; and then there will STILL be a pack of losers who will pay money to go see this spectacle...go die!

(the cost was...airline tickets. cab fare. the tickets were comped and did not cost the band a dime. the merch was at cost. (HINT: those t-shirts do not cost $40 to make).
hell, it's probably a TAX write-off for them.
So FANS...take the credit. You paid for it.

Who gives a shit how it was paid for, or what the band's motives may or may not have been. The end result was an 11 year-old cancer patient got to meet his favorite band. They weren't obligated to do it, but they did it anyway. Maybe just because they COULD. Oh, but that would be too human for you to accept, I'm sure.
It's a sad day when good deeds go punished...

Just admit it...KISS did a great thing. And has done many chartable things. They just don't need to trumpet it for you assholes to know about....
And if any of you do decide to have a lucid moment,maybe you will realize just how worthless you all are and will never amount to anything that does not deserve to be killed.
If I had my way I'd have all of you in a club for a remake of the Great White fire except the doors would be locked from the outside and snipers would be in place in case somebody did manage to get out...

Okay, dude, that's a little harsh! I know, people will bash KI$$ no matter what they do - I'm as guilty as anyone. But I would never go so far as to say people should die for their opinions, even if they are being ultra-skeptical!
Truthfully, I would normally join in the bashing. But I gotta go with you and "Break Open" on this one - KI$$ did a good thing here!
As someone who has buried a child after a battle with cancer, I would have given anything to have been able to grant this kind of wish! If you want to hate KI$$ because of their band politics or music, go ahead. But don't bash them for giving a dying child a few hours of happiness when that's probably all he has to look forward to!

that the same assholes on here who are ragging on Kiss for granting a wish for a dying child are the same people who were crying last week about what a tragedy that a kid toucher died (from what will turn out to be from an overdose of prescription drugs no less).
Gene and Paul may be greedy, but they've never been accused (and paid $20 million to make it go away) of mollesting children.

As for "angerinc" goes... thats because "a guy who looks like gene simmons in makeup touched me" isn't a good description at a Kiss show.
We all know Kiss couldn't care less about their fans and it's all for publicity and the mighty dollar and any Kiss fan who thinks otherwise is a dolt. BUT, no matter the reason, this is what the kid wanted, the kid got it. Kudos to them for making it happen. Doesn't change how much Kiss sucks though....

i was a huge fan till i saw gene on the street and asked him if i could take a picture or get an autograph he said 100 bucks and he wasn't kidding,i told him what i thought of him and have never bought another kiss item since this was 2004.tommy and eric i have heard nothing but good things about so to the 2 of you that was cool of you to give a pick and stick to him and to critter i don't know you but keep fighting man,i am praying for you.

Yes...I did have a typo with the spelling of the word "faimily". But...Mistakes happen as you should know, since the birth of both your mothers was a mistake...a mistake they compounded by not aborting either of you...

And BTW...I already know that cancer sucks. I went thru the full on lymphoma as a kid And that was when KISS was popular the 1st time around. Those bands you mentioned are all great,timeless,classic and set standards very high for rockers of all stripes for the years after them...
There are a few bands I really dislike...a lot of them written about here. But I don't feel the need to talk shit about them or their particular fans. It's the pus filled boils (like you and Booger) that think they have shit on everything with a pretentious attitude that makes me of the mind to push your little face into that shit and hold you in it until you sufficate....

are you completely clueless? the stones have done massive amounts of charity work for cancer (i.e. "Make a Wish Foundation", Toronto's Hospital for Sick Children) and U2 have given millions upon millions of dollars to countless charities including cancer research! i know for a fact that black sabbath also has donated money to cancer research, especially during the reunion when sharon osborne was fighting cancer! don't get into a battle of wits when you have no ammo!
and remember - the tide is shifting for the kiss army because the KI$$ HATERS ARMY IS MARCHING STRONG!
