Vocalist
Jape Peratalo of Finnish gothic metallers
TO/DIE/FOR — who announced their breakup in April 2009 — has issued the following update:
"I just have to let this train go on! I have been in contact with
Tonmi Lillman [
TO/DIE/FOR drummer] very often now, and we really are on fire again! So...
TO/DIE/FOR will CONTINUE! But when our next album comes? We do not know, but it may be in 2010.
"I can already tell you that next cover song (as we always do) is gonna be
DURAN DURAN, and the song called
'Of Crime And Passion'. We will do our own version [of] it, yeahhhh...
"This really feels crazy but I just can't help myself after these fucking great 'inspirationfilled' moments I got after talking with
Tonmi.
"I really thought I will stop doing
TO/DIE/FOR forever... but I just can't. I love it too much anyway!"
TO/DIE/FOR's fifth album,
"Wounds Wide Open", was released in Finland in October 2006. The follow-up to 2005's
"IV" was recorded by
Samu Oittinen at
Fantom Studios and by
Jari-Jukka Nippala at
Sonic Image, and was mixed at Sweden's
Abyss Studios by
Peter Tägtgren (
DIMMU BORGIR,
CELTIC FROST).
