TO/DIE/FOR 'Will Continue' - July 4, 2009

Vocalist Jape Peratalo of Finnish gothic metallers TO/DIE/FOR — who announced their breakup in April 2009 — has issued the following update:

"I just have to let this train go on! I have been in contact with Tonmi Lillman [TO/DIE/FOR drummer] very often now, and we really are on fire again! So... TO/DIE/FOR will CONTINUE! But when our next album comes? We do not know, but it may be in 2010.

"I can already tell you that next cover song (as we always do) is gonna be DURAN DURAN, and the song called 'Of Crime And Passion'. We will do our own version [of] it, yeahhhh...

"This really feels crazy but I just can't help myself after these fucking great 'inspirationfilled' moments I got after talking with Tonmi.

"I really thought I will stop doing TO/DIE/FOR forever... but I just can't. I love it too much anyway!"

TO/DIE/FOR's fifth album, "Wounds Wide Open", was released in Finland in October 2006. The follow-up to 2005's "IV" was recorded by Samu Oittinen at Fantom Studios and by Jari-Jukka Nippala at Sonic Image, and was mixed at Sweden's Abyss Studios by Peter Tägtgren (DIMMU BORGIR, CELTIC FROST).

	Met these guys at a BBQ in NY before a show they were playing. They're good guys....not so good music though.

	I REALLY didnt expect to like this band,.. the fact is, they are the original article that so many bands try to copy, fail, and then sully the idea for people that would have liked them in the first place. At first glance they just look like a bunch of emo's... Listen to the album 'Jaded' and rejoice in how wrong you were! Excellent band, i hope they hang around for a LOT longer. (P.s - Lillman - Go get laiho and latvala and give us the new Sinergy album!)

	So many people on there talking crap about this band actually made me want to check them out, heard their 2nd and 3rd album so far and it's actually pretty good. Like the previous poster you would expect them to be all emo but there is something unique there and if anything good background music and cool. I have to wonder though , with so many news items daily on here why do all of you consistantly come to To/Die/For ones every time? If you "don't give a shit" why do you come here and use your own spare time to post that? Hilarious
