Morten Veland (
TRISTANIA,
SIRENIA) has inked a deal with
Napalm Records for his new band
MORTEMIA.
Morten promises his fans a "sweeping listening experience," which will follow the path of
TRISTANIA's masterpiece
"Beyond the Veil". Adcording to a press release, "The first songs stay true to his promise and offer beautiful melodies and bombastic choir passages, thus creating the perfect blend of traditional gothic metal and modern elements."

"The 13th Floor", the new album from
SIRENIA, debuted at No. 149 on
Billboard's Top New Artist Albums (Heatseekers) chart, which lists the best-selling albums by new and developing artists, defined as those who have never appeared in the Top 100 of The Billboard 200.
"The 13th Floor" was released in Europe on January 23. The CD was tracked at
Sound Suite Studios in France and
Stargoth Studios in Norway while the mixing and mastering sessions took place at the
Antfarm Studios in Denmark with
Tue Madsen.
