The now-Las Vegas-based metal band SEVENTH CALLING will enter the studio on July 11 to begin recording its brand new EP, entitled "Epidemic". The CD will be produced by Kirk Moll and will mark the band's debut offering with new drummer Shannon Frye (AVENGER OF BLOOD). According to a press release, "Epidemic" will include new material that the group's current lineup has written together. It will be available for purchase at SEVENTH CALLING's upcoming live performances.

"We are very excited to see the direction that will take place with Kirk in the driver's seat," comments vocalist/guitarist Steve Handel. "A lot of hard work has been put into the new material, and we think that it will turn out great!"

Regarding the band's decision to scrap the previously announced "Deliverance" full-length album, Handel said, "After working on that particular project for way too long and having to change members in the middle of things, we decided to start from scratch with the new lineup and record all-new material other than what was to be offered on 'Deliverance'. There is, of course, much more to this, but that is another story."

Steve added, "Along with the EP, SEVENTH CALLING also has plans for the next 'full-length' album to be done within the latter part of the year. More details about that coming soon!"
