BLEEDING THROUGH Signs With RISE RECORDS - July 10, 2009
Southern California's BLEEDING THROUGH has inked a deal with the Portland, Oregon-based independent record label Rise Records.

"We're very excited to align with a record label that has so much momentum and is growing when many seem to be faltering, dropping bands and firing employees," said frontman Brandan Schieppati. "Rise continues to grow. We've been a band for a decade and we wanted to be with someone who is enthusiastic about BLEEDING THROUGH and is in a position to help us continue to grow and progress as well."

He added: "A lot of labels, managers and agents carry these egos as if they are the most important part of the equation. It's all about what the bands can do for them, to advance their interests, instead of the other way around. We had a lot of serious interest from several labels, many of whom we get along with. But we felt like Rise is the best fit for us because they are excited about our band and our music first and foremost."

Rise Records president Craig Ericson had this to say about the signing: "We are beyond excited to work with BLEEDING THROUGH. We've been huge fans ever since their release on Indecision Records. Having BLEEDING THROUGH in the family is a dream come true. We both share extreme passion for music and can't wait to show the world what we can achieve together as a team."

BLEEDING THROUGH recently parted ways with guitarist Jona Weinhofen and replaced him with Dave Nassie (NO USE FOR A NAME, INFECTIOUS GROOVES, SUICIDAL TENDENCIES, THE INNOCENT).

BLEEDING THROUGH's latest album, "Declaration", sold around 6,000 copies in the United States in its first week of release to debut at position No. 101 on The Billboard 200 chart. Released in September 2008, the CD was recorded in Vancouver, Canada with producer Devin Townsend (STRAPPING YOUNG LAD, LAMB OF GOD, SOILWORK, DARKEST HOUR) and is said to be thematically the band's most diverse album to date, addressing a variety of topics on tracks like "There Was a Flood" and "Death Anxiety".

BLEEDING THROUGH will embark on a special West Coast tour in August to celebrate the band's ten-year anniversary. Along for the ride will be CARNIFEX, MISS MAY I and MOTIONLESS IN WHITE. The tour is marked by a special poster designed by noted tattoo artist and illustrator Dave Quiggle.

The dates are as follows:

Aug. 21 - Tucson, AZ @ The Rock
Aug. 22 - Farmington, NM @ Gators
Aug. 23 - Las Vegas, NV @ [to be announced]
Aug. 24 - San Luis Obispo, CA @ Downtown Brew

Unless they were going for the "We're the flagship band on the label" approach...

Hopefully this is a return to form. They have been going down hill since "The Truth".

You're joking, right? The Truth was their worst album (even though it was still good) and the newest album is even better than This is Love, This is Murderous.
