AEROSMITH: Tampa Show Canceled - July 10, 2009
According to Tampa Bay Times, AEROSMITH guitarist Joe Perry went on "The Cowhead Show" on 102.5 The Bone Friday afternoon to confirm that the band's concert Saturday (July 10) at Tampa's Ford Amphitheatre has been cancelled, due to an unspecified injury suffered by singer Steven Tyler.

"I hate to call with bad news," he told the host. "I'd really much rather be playing tomorrow night."

The guitarist told the host aerosmith would reschedule the show for sometime around October. A Live Nation promoter told Tampa Bay Times no date has been set, but the rescheduled show will likely take place on a Saturday, and tickets for the canceled show will still be good then.

"The weather might be better," Perry told "Cowhead". "The way it's been raining and thundering and stuff, I think it might be a better time of the year to play."

These guys need to end it if they can't get dirty again. But years and money may have taken too much of a toll. Nothing but soccer mom rock since Right in the Nuts. Still love spinning the old stuff on the turntable though.

When you're cancelling that many shows, maybe it's time to give it up. The guys are old and frail now.

I love these guys but it's over. They can't do it anymore. Hell, they're all senior citizens now anyway. It's obviously hard for them or their fans to accept. They have nothing left to prove and they're embarassing themselves now.

It's got nothing to do with being old. It's pretty obvious to a lot of people that Tyler is using again, simple as that.

It's very sad, because their success post-sobriety is a great story (even though I'm not a HUGE fan of their post-'93 music).

I hope he gets help and they can give us at least one last good hard rockin' album.

what do you mean it's over. the guys deliver fine a couple of years ago for over 100 minutes.... like they were 20 yr olds.... so i don't think they' ve gone that much downhill in 2 years... i think this is legit.

they'll bounce back, but unless tyler's ok, i think they should just cancel and reschedule the trek asap !
