SCORPIONS Guitarist To Release Autobiography - July 10, 2009

Guitarist Rudolf Schenker of German hard rock veterans SCORPIONS will release his official German-language autobiography, "Rock Your Life", in Germany on October 14. An English-language version is also planned. More details will be revealed soon.

SCORPIONS recently extended their record deal with Ariola, which is part of the international media conglomerate Sony BMG Music Entertainment. The band's new album, for which the SCORPIONS recently recorded six new songs at Rudolf Schenker's studio, is not expected to arrive before 2010.

SCORPIONS' latest CD, "Humanity - Hour 1", was produced by James Michael and co-produced by songwriter/producer Desmond Child, who has worked with such high-profile pop/rock artists as AEROSMITH, BON JOVI, ALICE COOPER, KISS, RICKY MARTIN, CHER, MICHAEL BOLTON and BONNIE TYLER.

The Best Buy edition of "Humanity - Hour 1" includes an exclusive track, "Cold". "Cold" was previously included on the Japanese pressing of the CD along with another bonus cut, a radio edit of "Love Will Keep Us Alive".

	Rudolf Schenker has written so many great songs that have had such a great impact on the world. He's one half of the Schenker-Meine songwriting team, and I look forward to learning more about him and his crazy brother. I hope Rudy can keep rocking for another ten or more years. I don't think his biography will have as much dirt as other artists, but it would be a good read.

	I met him once, I was hammered, and asked if he was the guy on the Blackout cover. He said he was but he was not pleased with me.

	I'll definately pick up a copy.. should be an intereseting read from such a legend. He started Scorpions back in 1965!!!! He IS Scorpions (with Klaus) and has written countless classic songs and mega hits. Maidengirl76: Uli and Michael undeniably phenomenal solo guitarists indeed, but have they actually written any good songs to be honest? don't give me any Sails of Charon crap,.. that's just pure wanking for wannabe guitarists. Rudolf is the shit! Most great song writers are in fact crappy musicians themselves. and vice versa ...think about it

	When you're a great guitarist, but you're not the best in your family. Rudi is a fantastic player and songwriter though.
