SLAVES ON DOPE Is Back - July 12, 2009
SLAVES ON DOPE vocalist Jason Rockman and guitarist Kevin Jardine have reformed the band and are currently writing material for a new studio album. Jason says, "We are encouraging our old fans and possible new ones to join us at our new Facebook page where we will be posting weekly video clips of us in the studio."

SLAVES ON DOPE's "Inches from the Mainline" album was released through Ozzy Osbourne's now-defunct Divine Recordings label. After Divine Recordings lost its distribution deal with EMI's Priority Records, the band was left without a label. After a long search, a deal was struck with Bieler Bros. Records. SLAVES ON DOPE's second major album, "Metafour", was released in 2003.

In March 2004, SLAVES ON DOPE announced it was going on hiatus due to Jason Rockman leaving the band.

This is the worst godamn thing I have heard in a long time. So maybe they will make 1000000 dollars because most people are retards like this singer and listen to complete ass. I however believe they will be playing the Rockstar bar here in Dallas to 20 people tops or maybe the county fair. Wigger metal is contrived and played out and most people., even stupid people, are sick of it. GOOD LUCK SLAVES ON DOPE

Slaves on Dope were the worst of the nu-metal bunch. Unless they are changing their sound they'd get ignored.

COMMENT | It will be interesting to hear their sound...

Their album "One Good Turn Deserves Another" is a polar opposite of "Inches From The Mainline". It's more of a alt-rock sound...nowhere near the sound of IFTM...I'm not sure what happened in between...likely attempting to cash in (and can't say that I blame them, a guy has gotta feed himself).

That being said, Rockman is a capable vocalist. I'm interested in hearing what they will come out with.

i love it when people use the term "nu-metal". really all it means is "this music doesn't sound like 80's thrash metal so I'll jump on the bandwagon and call it nu-metal"
