FIVE FINGER DEATH PUNCH: New Song 'Bulletproof' Available For Streaming - July 12, 2009
Another new FIVE FINGER DEATH PUNCH track, entitled "Bulletproof", is available for streaming on the MySpace page of the U.K. branch of Spinefarm Records. The song comes off the Los Angeles metal band's sophomore album, "War Is The Answer", which is scheduled for release on October 6 via Prospect Park Records. The CD was produced by the band and Kevin Churko (OZZY OSBOURNE, IN THIS MOMENT), and was mixed by Randy Staub (METALLICA, MÖTLEY CRÜE, NICKELBACK). According to a press release, "the record evolves the band's already mature sound, ranging from the undeniable melodies in 'Hard to See' to the brutally nihilistic 'Burn It Down' [available for streaming below] — destined to please fans both new and old."

FIVE FINGER DEATH PUNCH's new single, "Hard To See", is available for streaming at RevolverMag.com. Guitarist Zoltan Bathory stated about the track, "It's about seemingly irresolvable differences. It's valid in just about any setting: politics, religion, relationships… Everything is 'only an opinion' based on limited information, yet people sometimes get attached to their point of views to the extreme…in fact, to the point they would launch wars over them."

"Hard To See" will impact rock radio on July 13.

Regarding the upcoming CD, Bathory stated, "In terms of the overall style, I would say that we've continued the journey we started on the first album, so there's a healthy balance of melody and aggression, and as always we concentrated on writing strong metal songs in the traditional sense. There's some epic moments on the record, and there's some straight-up home-wreckers, too. All I can say is, those who liked our first album are going to LOVE this one!"

Bathory told The Pulse of Radio that he wasn't worried about coming up with material for the band's second studio effort. "We have a lot to say," he said. "I tell you what, we're not going to be hurting for material for a long time probably. We have like three, four albums worth of stuff. So it's not gonna be an issue. It's pretty much just the mechanical part of like, you know, like properly recording the songs. You have to go to a good studio, you know what I mean, you have to spend some time. But all the material, yeah, we have a lot of stuff."

The band's next album will follow up its 2007 debut, "The Way Of The Fist", which has sold around 336,000 copies in the United States, according to Nielsen SoundScan.

The CD produced three singles, including "Stranger Than Fiction" and "Never Enough".

"Burn It Down", a brand new song from FIVE FINGER DEATH PUNCH, can be streamed using the widget below (courtesy of MetalInsider.net).

FIVE FINGER DEATH PUNCH was recently forced to cancel a series of June dates in Europe due a combination of events; these involve both personal matters plus the necessity to finish mixing the tracks for "War Is The Answer".

ivan, grow up and start a real band, if we wantede to hear such whining we would go back to 96 and throw on korn.

The comment from "Killthachristians" - "I'm shocked anyone likes this band" - is fucking hilarious for several reasons.

A. Yes! a LOT of people like this band. You should get out of your mom's basement sometime!

B. What the fuck is "nucore" ? You just came up with that?

C. Oh so there is a big trend called "nucore" they jumped on? wow! I guess I missed that trend. You say it was big? You seem to be the only one who heard about this big trend.

D. This one is the funniest! This explains it all. When your own band (Omnicidal Intent) sucks sooooo fucking bad, you have the balls to post that? I hate to tell ya... but you are not in the position to talk shit on 5FDP or ANYONE who can play an isntrument.

Really? Is this it? I almost shit myself laughing.
