TRIVIUM Bassist Sits Out Marysville 'Rockstar' Show; GOD FORBID's COYLE Fills In - July 13, 2009
Bassist Paolo Gregoletto of Florida metallers TRIVIUM was forced to sit out the first show of this year's Rockstar Energy Drink Mayhem Festival on Friday, July 10 in Marysville, California because he was getting his wisdom teeth done. Filling in for him for this one gig was guitarist Doc Coyle of New Jersey metal titans GOD FORBID.

Fan-filmed video footage of TRIVIUM performing the song "When All Light Dies" in Marysville can be viewed below.

TRIVIUM's latest album, "Shogun", was released in North America on September 30, 2008 via Roadrunner Records. The CD was mixed in London by Colin Richardson (SLIPKNOT, MACHINE HEAD, FEAR FACTORY, BULLET FOR MY VALENTINE, NAPALM DEATH), with Jeff Rose and Martin "Ginge" Ford assisting on engineering duties.

Why did Trivium's past press releases have their "sales-to-date" plastered all over the press release but since the latest cd came out, nothing about sales? Is it not doing well?

I love these guys and all, but c'mon - you're in a metal band and you need to take a gig off to get your wisdom teeth pulled? (And you didn't figure out you needed this done prior to the gig?)

All I'm saying is that someone like Lemmy wouldn't let something like that stop him from playing a gig.

Saw these boys in September, it was a great show. Shogun is an awesome album, and The Crusade is amazing, musically. If the vocals were more original Trivium style, it would've been one of the best albums of the year.
