ENGINE OF PAIN, the Dutch thrash act featuring former AFTER FOREVER (1995-2000) drummer Joep Beckers, has issued the following update:

"The band has regrouped and is ready for a new ENGINE OF PAIN episode. We are proud to announce the incorporation of our new guitarist Luc de Warem. Of course. Pat [guitar], Mies [bass] and Jeep [drums] are still in, but Nick [vocals] is also back in the band.

"In the last few weeks, we have been talking about getting back to the original ENGINE OF PAIN sound: pumping thrash metal combining relentless riffs, searing solos and loathsome lyrics, following up our previous full-length album, 'I Am Your Enemy', as released worldwide by Lion Music, January 2007. As we speak, new songs and lyrics are being written. It will take some time before these new tracks will be completed, recorded and available in your local record store, though."
