Only 3 posts for the obligatory loin cloth joke this time round...25 years ago people! I`ll say it again...there are photo shoots of Bathory, Venom and Immortal every bit as silly as Manowar!!

I agree the set list isn`t great but Manowar always excel live.

TOLD YOU, go listen to their first LP, it's the only masterpiece. The rest is a joke, but it's fun to listen to them just as much as Kiss.

Too bad you do not like Manowar.

Easy to laugh at?
YES of course but sometimes that is the measure of an amazing band. Maiden, Priest, AC/DC, Wasp, Type O Negative, The Red Hot Chilli Peppers, Pantera, Slayer ever looked silly before???
Think about it!!!
Longevity counts for a lot too, Manowar have been going around since 1982, and dressing up as Vikings long before Turisas etc...

Now eggfart31, sure Manowar can be silly and immature, but with a username like that, you don't really have a wall to sit on do you?
Never mind buddy, go check out Hail To England mate, you might change your mind. Anyway what is Metal without solos and new found maturity???

Yes, Venom and Bathory looked ridiculous too but they didn't take themselves so seriously. Manowar are now grown men and obviously still sing about loincloths and swords. Thankfully the only place they can play in the U.S. is at a Renaissance Fair.

what SHOULD they sing about???

C'mon man.
They are grown men. Yeah so what?
Tolkien was.
So are Slayer and Cannibal Corpse.
Metal is not meant to be mature.
There is a hint of irony to Manowar too. They actually rip the piss outta themselves on Hell on Earth 12 or whatever.
