PAUL DI'ANNO: Curitiba Two-Camera Mix Posted Online - July 25, 2009

Maidensp has uploaded a two-camera video mix (see below) of former IRON MAIDEN singer Paul Di'Anno's July 3, 2009 performance at Opera 1 in Curitiba, Brazil.

Di'Anno's backing band for the concert consisted of members of the Brazilian group SCELERATA:

Magnus Wichmann (Guitar)
Renato Osório (Guitar)
Gustavo Strapazon (Bass)
Francis Cassol (Drums)

In a recent interview with PyroMusic.net, Paul Di'Anno stated about the status of his new solo album, "We started to record it last year in Germany, but have since had some business problems associated with the production company involved with this project, so I may start another new album quite soon now. At the moment I am just concentrating on touring, as this is taking up 100% of my time right now."

Regarding his autobiography, entitled "The Beast", which came out several years ago, Di'Anno said, "Well, I thought if I am gonna write an autobiography, then I had better go for it with nothing held back. I didn't want it to be just another one of those poncy, pampering my ego autobiography rock books, where I would spend the whole time trying to fucking congratulate myself like so many others, so I just told it like it was. Also I was fucking sick and tired of every other fucker writing whatever they felt like writing about me, so this was a way of shutting them all up and telling them all to fuck off. After it was released, I got some mixed reactions, but generally it has worked for me as putting my life out there as it was."

	For some reason the only videos that are ever posted on here are Madien songs, he has quite a bit of solo stuff that is very good. He is as good as Bruce Dickenson or Rob Halford, always has been always will be. The song The Living Dead is amazing. Who gives a shit about his attitude that has always been a part of who he is.

	Dianno,to be fair youv written one good album(nomad)now fuck off and play that live and stop ruining maiden songs.You look as though you cant be fucked to sing anyway.As for the MJ comments, i wasnt his biggest fan either but to say that shit is low.if you would have just sung and not talked crap inbetween songs,you could have shoehorned another maiden classic in and ruined that to.

	These are great clips! PD is why I became interested in Maiden. Yes Maiden is a completely different outfit without Paul, and they are great! But they were incredible with him as well. The Blabber Bitches on here need to pop a couple of midols and take a nap already. LOL

	Ok so alot of you despise Paul Dianno, one cannot deny his awesome vocals he still has/had after Iron Maiden which were on the old Battlezone stuff, Killers : Murder One, Living Dead other solo stuff and various Live performances/videos. Sadly he does seem like a dick and lately it looks like he is getting a bit sloppy even more out of shape but he still has good power. He should just stop playing the Iron Maiden songs, like someone said above he has TONS of his own stuff that is actually badass. Either way if I hate someone that much I do not click on every news article on them and waste my time.

	To PigeonsWing: what do you mean with the band getting paid for? I'm a friend of the band (Scelerata) and was invited to film some shows of the brazilian tour with Paul Di'anno, also asked Paul's permission and he said he was ok with filming, and I posted some videos at my youtube so the fans around the world could watch it, I didn't receive anything for the filming/editing, so I didn't get your point. Paul and Scelerata are aware of the videos, Paul even posted remember tomorrow 2cam mix from Curitiba at his myspace. To AtomKey: from Curitiba I focused on the Iron Maiden stuff because I had problems with one of the cams and couldn't film the whole show with 2cam, but from Santos I posted 4 songs from Paul's solo career: Faith Healer, A Song From You, The Beast Arises and Children of Madness, let alone the Iron Maiden stuff for a change, all 2cam mix with matrix (sbd+aud) audio, the videos are a bit dark because the light at the venue wasn't good enough but still very watchable/listenable IMO. Please take a look, there's another new here concerning the videos from this specific show and you can also find them at my you tube: www.youtube.com/samuca13. I still have multi-cam footage from the São Paulo 7/18 show which is much better and will be posted in time. Cheers!!!
