SLIPKNOT: Anniversary Reissue Track Listing Revealed - July 26, 2009
The track listing has been revealed for the upcoming 10th anniversary reissue of SLIPKNOT's self-titled major label debut, due out on September 29. The CD/DVD set will feature all-new digipack packaging and a total of 25 songs, including the original album plus several previously unreleased cuts and demo tracks. The DVD portion of the set was created, like all the band's previous DVDs, by percussionist Shawn "Clown" Crahan and will contain "tons" of behind-the-scenes and early live footage.

CD track listing:

04. Wait And Bleed
05. Surfacing
06. Spit It Out

23. Snap (Demo) (Bonus Track)
24. Interloper (Demo) (Bonus Track)
25. Despise (Demo) (Bonus Track)

DVD:

"Of The Sic: A Decade Come And Gone": A short film by M. Shawn Crahan giving a peek into the surreal and complex time around the release of SLIPKNOT's debut album. Plus director's commentary, never-before-seen live concert.

Music videos:

* Spit It Out
* Wait And Bleed
* Wait And Bleed (Animated Version)

Crahan told The Pulse of Radio a while back how he goes about putting together the pieces for the band's DVDs. "I look for the thing that makes me taste and smell and gets me excited, you know," he said. "I look for those things to start it off, and once I have a few of those, then I get going. And then the plot goes from there."

The DVD will also include a commentary track from Crahan.

A "super deluxe" box set version of the re-release will come in packaging that resembles a safety deposit box, containing a T-shirt, patch, collectible cards, key chain, beanie and a note from singer Corey Taylor.

There's no word yet on the price of the deluxe version or how many copies will be available.

The original album was released on June 29, 1999 and has sold over 1.5 million copies.

SLIPKNOT has been commemorating the upcoming anniversary for much of the past year since issuing its latest record last August, "All Hope Is Gone".

The band will begin a short North American run of dates on August 22 in Seattle.

I was expecting some songs though that I hadn't heard before I've heard all these added songs and the remixes sound pretty much the same as the normal song.

I'll still probably get it though cos Slipknot are great.

I must say i'm WAY more excited about the Macabre- Grim reality Re-issue You've got to hear it some of the tracks are-

Mr albert fish ( are children your favorite Dish)
Hot Rods to Hell
Serial killer
Ed Gein

Once again if you haven't heard em check em out.

im not a massive fan of them, but no-one can argue the epic debut album as one of the best debuts in history..but..a TEN year anniversary?? i can understand if it 25 years or 30 years, but 10?? thats far too soon. i know most of the tracks anyway, so i'll be passing on this

you know a band isn't really metal, when they have remixes of their songs on their own cd's... just sayin'

Why is "Me Inside" listed as a bonus track on here? It is track 8 on the original album.

No Frail Limb Nursery. That's probably the biggest disappointment of this release. If you have Welcome to Our Neighborhood, then you have the videos. I was expecting a bit more from this release. If you count the Japanese release, I believe this to #6. The limited edition with all the stuff their offering may be worth it if you like that kind of stuff. As far as the music goes, I got to give a resounding, meh.

that Purity is on the reissue. I'll pick it up just for that reason. My original copy with it is scratched to hell.

Purity should say 'restored track.' it's weak that they still can't seem to get the rights to re-release it with Frail Limb Nursery, as that is the perfect bridge cut between Tattered & Torn and Purity. But, yeah, unless the remastering just makes my speakers explode, the CD of readily available material is kinda lame. The DVD is interesting, however. I know we all have the vids, but so? The film and concert will be an excellent revisitation of the original experience. It just better not cost a fuck-ton of money! Oh and the 'super deluxe' version? Laughable.

Technically, there's more than enough metal bands who wear masks and/or make-up.

As for the re-issue, I think it would more sense to throw the Mate Feed Kill Repeat album/EP on there instead of those bonus tracks.

For what it's worth, I'm starting to find alternate versions of the old tracks floating around that I've never heard before. Case in point: Me Inside. Previously I've heard the old '99 version and some version with Slipknot's old frontman (Anders). I was just on playlist.com and found a different "Me Inside" that sounds like it was recently recorded since Corey's a little more Stone Sour sounding on it. The original was 2:41 seconds long and the "new" one is 2:48 seconds long. Check it out... http://www.playlist.com/searchbeta/tracks#slipknot%20me%20inside

Ahhh, this sucks, I thought it was a better tracklist than this.... I got all those songs, and I even downloaded the Crowz torrent, so I got also early demos... Not worth it.

Instead of releasing the same shit for the fourth time, you re-release Mate Feed Kill Repeat, or the Crowz demos? You know, something that's actually impossible to find in stores, therefor warranting a re-release?

That album is still the sheeeet though, but I have the 2004 remaster with most of the tracks and Eeyore (hidden demo), plus I have the Welcome to our Neighborhood DVD so I'm pretty well set.....

Because Purity was originally on the album not Me Inside, it's basically a re-release of the 99' Digipak/Original without Frail Limb Nursery. Imo not worth it unless you get the collectors pack.

I've got the original release with Purity and Frail Limb Nursery on it anyway so I probably won't bother with this.
