SEBASTIAN BACH To Collaborate With JOHN 5 On More New Material - July 27, 2009
According to a message on former SKID ROW singer Sebastian Bach's Twitter account, he is talking to ROB ZOMBIE/ex-MARILYN MANSON guitarist John 5 about writing and recording more songs for Bach's forthcoming solo album. Bach tells BLABBERMOUTH.NET, "I already have recorded with John 5 a couple of months ago. We have an absolutely killer song done." He adds in a Twitter post, "[John 5] is fired up to help with my new record! I am stoked!"

In other news, Bach revealed that he had "a great heartfelt talk" with guitarist Johnny Chromatic, who played on Sebastian's last studio CD, "Angel Down". According to the singer, "[Johnny] says has a bunch of tunes that are better than 'Stuck Inside' [from 'Angel Down']. We shall see."

Bach announced last week that he was "on the lookout for band members in the guitar and bass positions in [his] band." He said, "I am looking for musicians who love to play and create new music. Who need to play music. Who live to play music. I cannot make a good album when I have to pay all the band members to rehearse. I simply cannot afford to pay a musician to sit down and write a song with me. I myself have never once been paid to rehearse, or write a song. I do it because I love it.

"I do not understand the mentality of some of the musicians I have worked with, who demand payment to rehearse, to get better, to sharpen their craft in order to destroy the whole world on big stages and in the studio. In my mind, a good musician, a true musician, LOVES to rehearse, plays all the time, because they want to get better. Not individually. As a BAND."

He continued, "I am not saying I don't want to ever play with the 'Angel Down' guys again. On the contrary, they all know I would love to get crackin' on some new sounds with them right now. But they are all busy, or worse, I can't get ahold of them. The official word from the guitar and bass player in my current band, through management, is, 'Call us when there's some gigs.' What they don't get is, my heart is not just into playing the old music right now, my heart is always in creating new music and putting out another CD. Then there will be tons of gigs."

Why? It seems like Bach doesn't want to pay for things like rehearsals, which makes sense.

I'm one of those people who doesn't usually care what someone like Bach is up to these days but, he's always had a great voice and I think John 5 is an amazing guitarist, this could be really good. Yeah it might suck too, but I'm hoping.

Honestly, I'm not too impressed with John 5 as a lead guitarist... but he might be a good songwriter (I don't know?)

This should be interesting, though.... I'll definitely check out anything by these two.

This isn't a band situation, it's a solo artist and with SB being a freak and trying to get a cut /control of everything, he's not going to get anyone that's short on rent money...not to mention common sense and talent.

He'd be great on Yngwie's songs but this would be an ego supernova that would destroy multiple counties.

It would make a great reality show though.

I like the suggestion but... Baz wants music a lot heavier then Andy is going come up with.
It still would be a cool collaboration.

what a fucking COCK!

you put out an ad for a guitar player, get everyone waisting there time and money applying. only to fucking end up having the guy that EVERYONES using at the moment. what was the point in that?

a bit of advice. you want a crushing album that out does angel down, that aint the way to go about it. getting someone thats got every band eating out of hes own arsehole wont give you wicked songs. get someone in that has something to prove to the world.

John 5 is a great guitar player but I just don't see how his style and Bach's style are going to make for anything worth listening to. Damn, I don't like to be negative....... I think that Bach would be better off with a more "rocker" type guitar player. If he is just looking for someone to write with, Steve Stevens is a great songwriter. Hell, go get Slash..... better yet, join Velvet Revolver! lol I really don't think anything Bach does currently is going to matter much, and that is sad. Does he fall in the category of "once was"?

Bach is awesome, Angel Down kicks ass, but he talks lots of crap...

His speach about "love of music"... "forget about money"...
Tell me... One time, you had a fan-made video removed from YouTube cause you won't let people hear your music for free, you said you deserve to be paid... Now you want PROFESSIONAL guitar players to do it for you for free?! Where was this love of music on the YouTube episode?! In the heart of that fan that made it to honor you, I'm sure it was...

Sebastian Freakin' Rules.

"Angel Down" was a KILLER CD.

I Look Forward to ANYTHING that Bach Releases...

...anything but that Country Music.
