KITTIE last year parted ways with bassist
Trish Doan and replaced her with
Ivy Vujic of the Canadian band
IN THE WAKE. According to a press release,
Doan was diagnosed with the eating disorder anorexia-athletica-nervosa, which she developed during the recording of
KITTIE's
"Funeral for Yesterday",
Doan's first release with the group.
"Funeral for Yesterday" — which was released via the band's own record label,
X of Infamy — was recorded at
Retromedia Studio in Red Bank, New Jersey with producer
Jack Ponti, who has previously worked with
BON JOVI,
SKID ROW, and
ALICE COOPER. The band mixed the effort with producer
Kevin Shirley (
