WALLS OF JERICHO To Play Benefit Concert For Family Of Fallen COLD AS LIFE Guitarist - Aug. 15, 2009
On July 22 of this year, guitarist Emery "War" Keathley from legendary Detroit band COLD AS LIFE passed away of a heart attack. He was 29 years old. He left behind a wife and two sons.

To honor and in memory of their friend, WALLS OF JERICHO will play a benefit show at Detroit's Majestic Theater on August 29. Also scheduled to appear are COLD AS LIFE, H8 INC, DOGS OF WAR, xTYRANTx, HOBO GANG BANG, FINAL ASSAULT and THE FAMILY. This will be an all-ages show, $10 cover charge and doors open at 5:00 p.m.

All proceeds will go to the Keathley family.

Commented WALLS OF JERICHO frontwoman Candace Kucsulain: "Fallen brother, beloved friend, son, husband and father. Emery was very involved and had huge influence in the Detroit hardcore music scene as we know it today. He touched the hearts of everyone who met him. He is a true fallen hero. He will be missed by all."

I guess if you're into that kind of noise. Oh well, at least it's going for a good cause.

I feel bad for his family. On the other hand, that show is going to be seriously violent. Even though it's going to a good cause, I'm thinking that there's going to be a plethora of arrests and/or fights. Typical thing for that genre. Sad.
