Love Slipknot, but definetely not a buy for me. But I think it's awesome that they celebrate their 10th anniversary, they truly deserve it.

The box looks cool but clown's "short films" are so painfully pretentious and trendy that they are really hard for me to watch.

the only good album they ever put out. after this one it slowly turned into stone sour 2.0. Great live band every time out, but they never put out anything to equal this album.

Will def. buy so i can keep my old copy locked up since their maggots have made the value of the original pressings with Purity worth so goddamn much.

COMMENT | I'll decline the purchase.

I'm short on cash, and the little I have, I'm saving for Crowbar's box set that's supposed to come out sometime in the near future.

their last CD...they are starting to realize melody is a great thing to utilize in Metal. Cory is also showing everyone he has a good singing voice. Who knows maybe I'll buy this box.

Debut album? So then by their reasoning, Mate.Feed.Kill.Repeat. never existed?

Mate.Feed.Kill.Repeat. isnt a full length album, it was a glorified demo tape.

I consider MFKR an album. Several bands have had lower production numbers for albums, and still considered them full length's. Was a sweet album, at that. Anywho, I think this is waste of money for anyone who already has Slipknot self-titled, if you don't though, go ahead and get it, is a pretty good one.

Very cool packaging. The stuff inside is pretty good hope the shirt is large enough to wear but if not, no biggie. The bonus tracks are nothing to write home about. Pretty sure I have all of them and the DVD stuff. Seen about 10 times over the years including Ozzfest '99. Absolutely love this CD. Great CD to get the aggression out. It's a purchase for me. Saw them this past March and they crushed the Forum. Yeah, this is a cool thing even if you own the original already.

Their first album was pretty amazing. I still couldn't imagine spending money for re-mixes. I also don't consider MFKR an album.

I respect your view on the band. I have been a fan of Slipknot for years, ever since Iowa came out. Although recently I've grown to hate Corey's lyrics (was never a fan of self-pity lyrical content), musically they are fairly solid. The song structures are fairly immense and densly layered. Although the songs themselves are not overly complicated or technical (bar the drumming), they are still fun to jam with (although I refuse outright to sing any lyrics).

Anyways thats my two cents.

Props to actually getting your child into metal at an early age. Sort of wished my parents listened to metal. About the closest thing I had growing up was AC/DC, and I guess Pearl Jam if you can even count that as close.
