SEVENDUST drummer
Morgan Rose filled in for
Tommy Lee at
MÖTLEY CRÜE's last three shows — August 14 at the Riverbend Music Center in Cincinnati, Ohio; August 15 at Clarkston, Michigan's DTE Energy Music Theatre; and August 16 at Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania's Post-Gazette Pavilion.
Fan-filmed video footage of the Clarkston gig can be viewed below (courtesy of

According to
Billboard.com,
Lee will be off his kit for several
Crüe Fest 2 shows after burning his left hand last week while playing with a set of sparklers.
Rose "came charging in like a knight in shining armor" according to a note on bassist
Nikki Sixx's
MySpace page.
Lee, his left thumb and forefinger wrapped in bandages, is still taking part in the shows, coming on first to explain his absence — "First of all, I suck. I was having fun and I burned myself," he told Saturday's crowd at the DTE Energy Music Theatre — then to hand a bottle of Jagermeister to the crowd and, during the encores, play piano on
"Home Sweet Home" and thump on a drum with his right hand for
"Girls, Girls, Girls", according to
Billboard.com.
There's no official word about when
Lee will be able to play drums again.
Crüe Fest 2 runs through September 2.
The last time
Lee was forced to sit out a
MÖTLEY CRÜE gig was June 12, 2007 when he was he recovering from another arm ailment.

Will Hunt filled in for
Lee at that show, although
Tommy did manage to take to the kit for one number — the immortal
"Kickstart My Heart".
