ZAKK WYLDE Treated At Hospital For Blood Clot

Zakk Wylde ( BLACK LABEL SOCIETY, OZZY OSBOURNE) was apparently taken to a local hospital emergency room following BLACK LABEL SOCIETY's August 19, 2009 concert in Missoula, Montana in order to receive treatment for a blood clot (see photo below). According to a posting on Zakk's official Twitter account, he was headed back to the hospital today to receive further medical attention for the same condition. No further details are currently available. BLACK LABEL SOCIETY's "Skullage" DVD package sold 5,100 copies in the United States in its first week of release to debut at position No. 1 on the Top Music Videos chart. Released April 21 in three different configurations — CD, DVD and CD/DVD — this collection features the best of Zakk Wylde & Co. This massive greatest hits package is chock-full of live material, music videos, interviews, and a vivid cross-section of brutal and introspective tracks, from amped-up blazers like "Fire It Up" and "Suicide Messiah" to raw power ballads like "In This River" and "Spoke In The Wheel". ...Had a family member in a much worse condition than Zakk this year, they stop blood clots breaking up and forming hundreds more and going through all your major organs and shutting them down- lungs/kidneys/heart/liver- they can prevent you dying on the spot and drowning in your own blood in your lungs so...... no comments on medical procedures you dont understand thanks.....

Clots in the legs are serious business. A little piece breaks off in the deep vein and it goes straight to your heart and you are dead - instantly. I personally know two people in their 40s that died exactly that way after getting clots after knee and foot surgery.

i had surgery last october on my knee, just a knee scope....and it caused bloodclots to form, and it almost killed me...i was 42 yrs old, i ended up in the hospital for two weeks and then was sent home and had to stay in a hospital bed for three months at home, was on blood thinners from oct til may....and they had to place a filter inside my main blood vein to stop any clots from going to my heart, brain or lungs...any of those area's and you are gone...it is very serious stuff....my clots are now gone, but i still have the filter in me......it takes anywhere from 6 months to a year to get rid of them, depending how bad they are, i had three in my left leg.......BEST WISHES TO ZAK OR ANYONE ELSE THAT GOES THRU THIS.....

I lost $250 in the 357custom bullshit in 2005. I ultimately blamed Zakk for not watching his business. I've wanted him to fail professionally since then.
This sucks though. Hope you recover fast Zakk.
I also hoped Ozzy had kicked Zakk from the band for good With the Gus g situation. I wanted Gus to nail this as much as anyone who are against Zakk, but he failed hard.
Seems he's trying to be (or being told to be) a Zakk rip-off for the younger people who don't know the past.
Zakk is the only guitarist that will fit from here out. Zakk, patch it up with Ozzy, whatever it takes!!
