TAAKE: Quality Footage From PARANOID OPEN AIR Festival Available - Aug. 25, 2009
Quality fan-filmed video footage of Norwegian black metallers TAAKE performing at this year's Paranoid Open Air festival — which was held August 13-15, 2009 at Autopoligon Ljubecna, near Celje, Slovenia — can be viewed below (courtesy of "gokizoki").

TAAKE's self-titled album, which came out on CD last year via Dark Essence Records, has just been issued on vinyl through Svertenkunst Produksjoner. The LP comes in an 180g double gatefold version, and features a cover of the BURZUM classic "A Lost Forgotten Sad Spirit" as an exclusive bonus track, as well as different cover artwork and an A2 poster.

"Taake" is the fourth studio album from TAAKE, a band that over the years has established itself as one of the defining outfits of "true Norwegian black metal." The group uses intense, unique, and unpredictable dynamics to create an atmosphere that ranges from ice cold Nordic melodies to catchy "necro" riffs.

"Taake" track listing:

01. Atternatt
02. Umenneske
03. Lukt til Helvete
04. Doedsjarl
05. Motpol
06. September Omsider
07. Velg Bort Livet
08. A Lost Forgotten Sad Spirit (BURZUM cover; vinyl-only bonus)

This song (III ?) is actually amazing on the album, but holy crap what a shitty performance. Taake should be a bit rough, but this is just too untight and sloppy.
