SPINAL TAP Bassist To Guest At Amsterdam's IBC Session - Aug. 28, 2009

According to TVTechnology.com, Harry Shearer — who played bassist Derek Smalls in the 1984 mock documentary "This is Spinal Tap" — will be a featured guest at an IBC session (the leading international forum for the electronic media industry) on Monday, September 13 at the RAI in Amsterdam, Holland.

The conference, which will take place from 1:30 p.m. to 3:00 p.m., will feature Shearer, along with producer Jim Gabour, discussing the 25-year history of the cult classic. The two will also discuss production of "Unwigged & Unplugged: An Evening with Christopher Guest, Michael McKean and Harry Shearer", a new film featuring the trio who make up SPINAL TAP.

	Just checked the IBC site, Shearer will be there on Sunday September 13. Getting in there will probably cost a fortune but then you can hang around and network with all kinds of media big shots. Who wouldn't want that? I'd rather go to a nudist beach instead, but that's just me.
