SEBASTIAN BACH Performs SKID ROW Classics With Country Duo BIG & RICH; Video Available - Aug. 29, 2009
Ex-SKID ROW singer Sebastian Bach performed two classic songs from his former band — "Youth Gone Wild" and "I Remember You" — with American country music duo BIG & RICH on August 25 at Telus Field in Edmonton, Alberta, Canada.

Fan-filmed video footage of the "I Remember You" performance can be viewed below.

"John Rich [from BIG & RICH] asked me to come on a whole Canadian tour in January, tentatively," Bach told Noisecreep in a recent interview. "If it goes well in Edmonton, he said, 'Dude, let's take this thing across Canada — 20 gigs, BIG & RICH. You're on the bill every night, every city.' I'm like, 'You tell me when. Give me the plane ticket, and I'm there!' because I just love playing. I love playing music."

Bach told Noisecreep that he has written at least 10 songs for a country solo album, which he will probably release sometime next year.

"It takes a long time for me to feel like I can put my name on a record," Bach said. "I hate to use that word 'country' because people have a weird idea. To me, my idea of country is NEIL YOUNG 'Old Man', or ALLMAN BROTHERS, or WILLIE NELSON 'Whiskey River' and stuff like that. I like outlaw country. I like the bad-ass Waylon Jennings coke country [laughs], Leon Russell with long hair fucking partying [laughs]."

Bach was invited last year to live in a house with a cast of contestants on the CMT reality show "Gone Country 2". Sebastian was put through 'country lifestyle' challenges, but also had the opportunity to write songs.

"I won, dude," Bach said. "That's the point of the whole thing, I'm saying. I was the winner and I've done a lot of these reality shows, and this was by far my favorite reality show I ever did because the prize that I won. I got a $75,000 video."

Bach penned two songs on the show, "Jumping Off the Wagon" and "Battle With the Bottle", with solo artist Jeffrey Steele (who has written hits for MILEY CYRUS and RASCAL FLATTS) and Vicky McGehee (TOBY KEITH, TIM MCGRAW, FAITH HILL). "There are couple of other songs, but those are the two good ones," Bach told Noisecreep. "I tried to cover all the bases in country music — one song's about drinking, one song's about not drinking [laughs]."

He's been surfing on it ever since. I loved those 2 first Skid Row records, even the 3rd one was alright... but afterwards ??? pffffiwwwu. What a sad ride. I did try pretty much everything he worked on, and ended up returning all to the 2nd hand cd store...

Angel Down is still here, but I don't know for how long. I GIVE UP !!! Not to mention the Prima Donna attitude.

Try reconnecting with the boys from Jersey... Maybe we'll forgive you.

skid row, slave to the grind, subhuman race, absence of empathy and angel down are all killer no filler albums in my estimation which is the only estimation that matters to me. he also has about an albums worth of other great material spread out over the years. very few artists have over 60 songs in a playlist on my ipod and the mighty baz is one of em. and live he was the 2nd greatest live vocal erformance i ever saw next to only the mighty halford.

Give it up, Bach. You claimed to have moved on, yet still live in 1989. Of course you'd open shows for those guys. There would be more than 17 people in the audience each night.

Live performance? Sebastian is excellent live. I'll never forget being in the hall of MSG getting to the Axl show where he opened and he was filling the arena with his voice in a way I've never witnessed.

Riding former success? As he said in the beginning of the clip. Success came when record sales and media push existed. It doesn't anymore! Everyone plays their old hits even when the new material is good. Pea brain fans need that. Not his fault.

Bad attitude? He's been really nice when I've communicated with him.

Most winded I've EVER heard him. He's got such great pipes, I think he'll NEVER "lose it", but damn. If he lost about 25 pounds, he'd have a much easier time trying.

I like when the hillbilly woman takes over the vocals from the crowd and actually sounds better than Bach.

Someone said Bach needs to lose 20 lbs. Holy shit, this guy runs 4 miles a day and he's obviously thin. How can you make a comment like that? The guy isn't used to singing the song with that band and was a little thrown, perhaps but it doesn't mean he's fat, winded, or less talented than before.

I don't have much to frown about when it comes to this clip, except for the dumb ass who 3:50 into the video started shouting "Skid Row, Skid Row, Sebastian Bach, Sing It!"

Yes, he does look very uncomfortable on that stage --- hopefully enough to put him off doing it again with Rich. Must be frustrating when you live to sing to end up being forced to do the exact music you say you don't want to do anymore just to do what you love doing. IMO the cost of doing it this way is WAY too high.

"is this the same man that hates nostalgia...?"

yeah... another contradiction... like the "hate musicians that only rehersal or make music when get paid" x "no youtube tributes to me with my songs if i'm not getting paid"

besides... this video is a train wreck... horrible...

a reunion would be nice...

Why do people always talk as though it's Bach's fault that he's not with Skid Row anymore?? He's made it clear that it's the last thing he wants to do, true, but Skid Row have also made it perfectly plain that they love Solinger and would NEVER go back to working with Bach!! And that's more to the point.

He totally shit on Poison throughout the 90's & then takes the opening slot for their US tour. He said how he hated the fact that the rest of the members in Skid Row took so long to right songs & put out records and that he wanted to put out an album a year & then he takes a decade to put out a full length record. Hey Baz......if you had saved all the money you made in the late 80's / early 90's instead of squandering it away then you wouldnt have to take any shit reality job thats thrown your way. You dont see Snake or Rachel on Gilmore Girls or some stupid VH1 Reality show....its cause they were smart with their money.
