ACHERON's VINCENT CROWLEY To Guest On AFFLICTION GATE Album - Aug. 31, 2009
French old-school death metallers AFFLICTION GATE entered the studio on August 13 to begin recording their debut album, "Aeon of Nox (From Darkness Comes Liberation)". The band recorded all instrumental and vocal parts during over a seven-day period and has booked additional time in the studio for the mix and mastering. The CD, which is tentatively due in November via Metal Inquisition (the thrash/death metal division of No Colours Records), will feature a guest appearance by Vincent Crowley of U.S. death/black metal veterans ACHERON on the opening track, "After The Red Moon".

Commented AFFLICTION GATE: "The first time we listened to [ACHERON's] 'Rites Of The Black Mass' album over 15 years ago, we couldn't imagine that we will be able to collaborate with its leading force one day on a musical project!"

AFFLICTION GATE's debut EP, "Severance (Dead To This World)" was released in December 2008 via Forgotten Wisdom Productions.

And wasn't Michael Estes in this band? I've got a 2 disc Thin Lizzy tribute called 'The Sririt of the Black Rose' and the song 'Southbound' performed by the Southern Rock Allstars features not only members of Molly Hatchet and Blackfoot among others but also Mike Estes who is said to be in Lynyrd Skynyrd which I wonder if it's the same guy. Sorry for the run on.
