LACUNA COIL's 'I Like It' Digital Single To Feature Excusive Remixes - Sep. 7, 2009
Three unique artists were approached to remix LACUNA COIL's "I Like It" track for an upcoming single, to be made available digitally only on September 21 in Europe and Australia.

Interface: One of New York's longest-running electronic music acts, Interface combines the sonic edge of industrial, the club energy of trance, and a melodic sensibility for a unique experience.

Das Basslaster: Das Basslaster, synthies/samples/computer and vocals as well as producer for electro/pop/emo/trash darlings FRITTENBUDE, went for a more pop mix of the song.

Dan Peace: 20-year-old underground electro/big bass producer and DJ from the Northeast England, Dan Peace emerged from the bedroom mid-September 2008. He has since been knocking out his own brand of dance music and DJing regularly.

LACUNA COIL's latest album, "Shallow Life", was recorded in September/October 2008 at NRG Studios in North Hollywood, California with producer Don Gilmore, who has previously worked with LINKIN PARK, TRAPT, AVRIL LAVIGNE, GOOD CHARLOTTE, THE VERONICAS, PEARL JAM, TRUST COMPANY and DURAN DURAN.

LACUNA COIL recently embarked on the headlining "American Spellbound Tour" with support from KILL HANNAH, SEVENTH VOID and DOMMIN. The trek marked LACUNA COIL's first U.S. headlining run in more than two years and the first tour the band has been on since they rocked the main stage of the Music as a Weapon Tour IV this past spring alongside DISTURBED, KILLSWITCH ENGAGE and CHIMAIRA.

Why make an already terrible song even worse by remixing it? I'm not usually one to complain but this song just goes above and beyond how bad Lacuna Coil have become, it's almost impressive.

The new album is actually closer to their style on their first few albums. Karmacode was the attempt to go commercial (incorporating all thos stupid nu metal elements), and it didn't go over well. I personally think their new album is absolutely fantastic...

Great band but all they think is just the fucking money. Many goth bands try this crappy pop style. The first albums was great. Please stop doing music anymore idiots. If you continue like this the only reason to buy your albums is to put the chick doing some porn vids on them.

COMMENT | ...wow...

Um, NO, you're WRONG! This new album sounds NOTHING like their older material. 9/12 tracks sound like Linkin Park.

None of you people seem to grasp the concept of 'parody'. It's amazing how literal you're all taking this. Yes, they're all hip-hop bling bling dudes now. Behold your powers of perception!

Some of us do :). The video and single cover are clearly parody, I actually quite like the video, but that doesn't make the song itself any less terrible as far as I'm concerned.

COMMENT | Clearly it's a parody

Don't like the song as much but I thought the video was cute. I wish they go back to their gothic roots in their next album
