Jönköping, Sweden-based death/black metallers NETHERBIRD have issued the following update:

"We are proud to announce that Tobias Gustafsson has joined NETHERBIRD as bassist. We have spent 48 hours in studio Scarecrow recording bass for our next release and it was a grand ride and Tobias was quite evidently the right man for the job, both because of his skills as a musician and as a person. He blended right into this flock of stray souls and will add a lot to the future sound of the band with both his bass and voice.

"Tobias Gustafsson is no stranger to the metal scene and he is currently the vocalist in REVENGIA and has played in EUCHARIST, THE END (Sweden) and ARMAGEDDON (Sweden).

"This means that NETHERBIRD now has a full lineup ready to handle the gigs that will come in years ahead!"

NETHERBIRD's video for the song "The Blackest Breed" can be viewed below. The track comes off the group's full-length debut, "The Ghost Collector", which was released last year via Pulverised Records. The CD features an appearance by ex-CRADLE OF FILTH/current NEMHEIM drummer Adrian Erlandsson, who is said to be "a full member" of NETHERBIRD.
