HALFORD To Celebrate Holiday Season With 'III - Winter Songs' CD - Sep. 9, 2009
Just in time for the 2009 holiday season comes a release that is sure to grab the attention of heavy metal fans worldwide, as legendary singer Rob Halford debuts his first holiday CD "Halford III - Winter Songs" on his new label Metal God Records distributed globally by ADA Global/Warner Music Group, Fontana/Universal Music Group, Conveyor/Universal Music Canada and Sony Music Japan.

"Halford III - Winter Songs" is Rob's first solo release in more than seven years, and includes a collection of new Halford-penned tracks plus traditional holiday favorites presented with original arrangements by HALFORD (Rob Halford on vocals, Roy Z. on guitar, Metal Mike Chlasciak on guitar, Mike Davis on bass and Bobby Jarzombek on drums).

Written, arranged and recorded during 2008 and 2009, "Halford III - Winter Songs" celebrates one of the most exciting holiday periods of the year.

The new HALFORD single "Get Into The Spirit" debuts at radio and RobHalford.com on September 29.

"Well, I've always said I wanted to produce a Christmas CD," comments Halford. "The HALFORD band has assembled a fantastic release, and we're excited to have produced a collection of holiday tracks which all of us have enjoyed from a very early age."

"Halford III - Winter Songs" debuts new HALFORD tracks "Get Into The Spirit", "When Christmas Comes For Everyone", "Light Of The World", "What Child Is This", "Oh Holy Night", "Come All Ye Faithful" and more.

"Halford III - Winter Songs" will be released the week of October 26, 2009 at your favorite retailer, e-tailer, Amazon.com, HMV.com, BestBuy.com, Play.com, iTunes and HalfordMusic.com.

A commercial for "Halford III - Winter Songs" can be viewed at MetalGodShop.com.

HALFORD's last studio album, "Crucible", came out in 2002. "Metal God Essentials, Vol. 1", a 2007 collection containing 15 songs spanning Rob Halford's solo career, featured two new songs, "Forgotten Generation" and "Drop Out".

Halford's Metal God Entertainment recently launched Metal God Records — a new music label providing global physical and digital distribution services for the world's rock and metal performers.

"It's been a long desire of mine to be a co-owner and participate in the operation of a label focused on supporting the rock and metal communities," Halford said in a statement. "The infrastructure we have been assembling at Metal God Entertainment now allows myself and other artists to benefit from Metal God Records global physical and digital distribution networks, promotion and marketing services, apparel products and a broad range of Artist & Repertoire services."

The Metal God's Dishing out some tunes for his Metal Maniac Fans out there and people still complain endlessly about the stupidest little things here on blabbermouth.

Why, can't you guys who complaining get it together and either enjoy the great metal music or get out.

I for one, can't wait to hear this new release from the metal god himself, it will most certainly hold me up till the next Judas Priest album!

I am not even remotely interested cause the only good thing he did solo was Fight War of Words and about half of Resurrection. Fight A Small Deadly Space sucked and Crucible sucked even worse!

Is the only one here probably over the age of 21, cause he made the most relevant post here of them all and it wasnt all whining. You kids are some of the most miserable fucks ever, to come and post crap on each and every post here just to hear yourselves whine.

Btw megalomanica, what does being an atheist have to do with wanting to hear metal xmas songs? Im atheist myself, but I fucking love Trans-Siberian Orchestra and will be seeing them for my 4th time (3rd in a row) this coming December, and practically anything Rob has done Metal Mike, and now Roy Z has to be awesome. All of Roy Z's work with Bruce Dickinson was fantastic and Im sure they wont be lame or cheesy.

My 8yr old son whines less then 98% of you posters here.

Like zakkimal, I'm a fan of TSO so I enjoy holiday music too though I'm not into religion at all. This should be pretty cool. The song tease in the commercial sold me. Halford rules.

This is so lame first Twisted Sister ruined their metal image/edge with their shitty Christmas cd. Now Halford is going to do the same. Christmas songs are not cool They are lame they have stupid juvenile lyrics that sound like Sesame Street songs. Kids songs and heavy metal don't go together. Don't do it Rob!

I'm really starting to wonder whether or not people even read the articles on Blabbermouth. The individuals who 'read' this article, and proceeded to claim that this album will undoubtedly be lame, must have decided to cruise over this line:

"includes a collection of NEW Halford-penned tracks PLUS traditional holiday favorites"

So you see, if you would have actually read the article, you would have seen that the album will not only contain Christmas Metal, but it will also contain some new Heavy Metal from the Halford band...which, might I remind you, is fronted by Rob Halford of Judas Priest.

Are people really complaining about new Halford material, or are they just not reading?

I don't care if Halford personally delivered the fucking thing to me, I DON'T NEED METAL ARTISTS RECORDING CHRISTMAS MUSIC - IT'S FUCKING STUPID.

with your Priest T shirt that your momma bought you are all just scared that you might actually like listening to something new and off the wall from the metal God.....you know you will buy it anyway, just admit it. Remember the whole point of doing a "solo" project is to let the artist get certain creative ideas/expressions out, and fuckin hell if that means Rob doing a goddamn Christmas album than so be it!!! Personally I would be chuffed to bits if Rob delivered the thing to me in person, I love Rob and I love Christmas , so I can't wait to hear it!!

Skip the Christmas music CD.

If you have Priest on your brain and you were born before 73', spend your money on a copy of the world famous movie "Heavy Metal Parking Lot" if you haven't got it already. It was a documentary filmed in the parking lot of a venue in Largo Maryland back in 1986 right before a Priest show. Short but classic movie, complete with all of the out of date clothing styles, cool mullets, cooler cars, bad girls with scabbed knees and a lot of underage drinking & partying. Great fucking times those were!! Wouldn't trade them for anything.

Seriously...I was looking through some things a few nights ago and ran across my copy which I hadn't seen in a few years and decided to watch it again. I had forgotten just how great this movie really was.

Or, if you already have this movie I suppose you could just spend the money a bottle of liquor and get hammered. That's probably what i'll do around the holiday's but fuck the christmas tunes.
