THE BLACK CROWES: 'Before The Frost...' First-Week Sales Revealed

"Before the Frost...", the new studio album from THE BLACK CROWES, sold 32,000 copies in the United States in its first week of release to debut at position No. 12 on The Billboard 200 chart. In other news, THE BLACK CROWES frontman Chris Robinson is expecting a baby with girlfriend Allison Bridges. A rep for the singer, who has a 5-year-old son with actress Kate Hudson, confirmed Bridges' pregnancy. Robinson and Bridges began dating in 2007. "Before the Frost..." was released on September 1. A second album, titled "…Until The Freeze", was given away for free exclusively through a unique download code which is included in "Before The Frost…" as a "thank you" to their fans for two decades of continued support. THE BLACK CROWES' set on the band's current tour features over two hours of music culled from the new release and the band's deep catalogue. Widely known for varying their nightly set lists performing new material, album cuts, rarities and covers in addition to their hits, THE BLACK CROWES consistently deliver a fresh and unpredictable live show. I mean why not start including all of pop music here. They certainly aren't metal or heavy. Bluesy yes but they have never really been the other.

It is kinda weird that Blabermouth covers the Crowes...but I'm glad as they are my fave band...you open minded metal fans should really check this album out best thing they have done in like a decade.

I'll repeat myself because im that good at what i say. Yes - indeed a great form of Blues Rock n Roll. Cant wait for the CD. How cool to give fans a free anything these days. Real champs. Excellent show.
Super nice guys too. I'd mow the band members' laws on a 98 degree day in the hot sun. Great stuff. Really, Really CANT wait for the new stuff.
Did i mention, Nice bunch of guys?

First of all, there are a LOT of metal-heads who like other kinds of music, and most of those kinds of metal-heads probably like the Black Crowes, so it makes sense for Blabbermouth to mention them every now and then...as usual, you don't HAVE to read the story.
I think this is cool...I bought "Before the Frost" yesterday and I totally forgot about the free download. I listened to it on the way home (it was good) then got home and downloaded the other and plan to check it out during my early-morning, post-workout smoke. Thanks for the freebie, Black Crowes!

I dont have to read the story or comment, but deep in my heart I feel I must speak out against this blaspemy on a site that is meant for METAL. So, if your a metal head and you wish to find out about your gay hippy band addictions. There should be a place for you to go and worship trees in peace and not on a site for metal. You might want to work on your grammar before trying to make fun of bands and their fans, dude.
The Crowes rule and are one of the only true blue rock and roll bands still around. I can't wait to check these albums out!

You're a putz. Be open minded and if you don't like the band on a thread, don't click on the story. Save some of you're valuable time for the bands you do like. I'm sure most don't check out every link on here. The Black Crowes get an honorable mention on here because they are probably one of the most talented bands out there today, whether you agree or not.

I am sorry I did not get an "A" on my grammar Mr.English Major..please forgive me for not being as awesome as you. I am not disputing the fact that the Black Crowes are a blues/rock band. I am disputing the fact that they have no place on here (and they suck ass) and I am sure you know deep in your heart is true.(hippy lover) I am an open minded individual as well Mr. Your A Putz pfffffft. I find it hilarious that all you hippies get so offended when someone such as I gets bored and decides to trash a band that is well in need of A good trashing. If you want to see some talent outside of metal please go see Phish since you like hippy shit so much. You might find it less silly than these "go back in time" rockers.

and should AC/DC news be banned from here cos they're a blues-based rock band and not metal?
how bout Zeppelin..? they did some rocking tunes but also played folk, funk, country, world music, but not much true metal. better get them off here too, make more room for Manowar.
