This is the weakest line-up yet.

Good thing the festival is established enough that it'll sell out regardless of how good/lame the bands are.

Other than that, the continued lack of US bands on the bill is bummer. We have a bunch of great bands over here that never tour for lack of funds and opportunity and PP has nothing better to do than book a band like Hammerfall that tours the U.S. regularly.

Weak.

This year ProgPower X was not a sellout..... Glenn had made single-day tickets available and there was not a packed house as usual. With 2 of the local motels changing ownership it also caused some major hassles for people who booked their rooms early to find out later they was overbooked!
As far as the Crimson Glory tribute went I am not qualified to make an "honest" comment as I really know nothing about CG or the singers involved but it did have a late start (after "Midnight".... no pun intended!) and was not done to almost 3am! After 10 years of doing this you would think that with all the bands using the same basic stage setup that it would only take a few minutes to change out each bands gear! Glenn was praising his crew but the last few years these shows has been ending later and later and it is really annoying after spending 7 to 8 hours to wait an extra 30 minutes because of technical issues that happens before the last band plays...... maybe Glenn should be more interested in getting the technical issues worked out instead of trying to catch somebody making a shitty little video clip on a shitty digital camera or a cell phone!

Other than those 2 issues it was a great time as usual! Sabaton stole the show...... Fates Warning was good but was not my cuop of tea..... overall I give the event a B+

Okay, you got a number of things wrong. First, Crimson Glory Ended at 2, not 3. Then the video played which ended at 2:30. Realistically yes, it should have gone on earlier, but this was not due to Crimson Glory's setup. I noticed after Mindflow already that the time was being pushed a bit, so a little bit extra per act is what made them come on only 30 minutes later, which btw I don't know how many shows you go to but there are lots of shows that are under schedule and 30 minutes isn't too bad.

Also, you honestly think these bands can be off and then on in a couple of minutes? Any show I've been to this never happens. The quickest turnaround usually is 15 minutes and that's pushing it. Yes, the drumset stays the same, but the instruments are all new and all need sound checks. Not to mention that some of the bands have banners to be placed. Lastly, during this time is usually when the meet and greets happen, which is better so people who want to meet the band don't have to miss sets -- unless it's an uber long line. Overall, the crew on Progpower is a well oiled machine and no I am not one, but I have been to hundreds of concerts and the set change times are pretty normal.

And if you're talking long setup changes, when Iced Earth played last year, that lasted longer by FAR!!!!
