FIVE FINGER DEATH PUNCH Guitarist Missing?

Los Angeles metallers FIVE FINGER DEATH PUNCH have released the following statement: "We have not been able to locate Zoltan [ Bathory, guitar] from FIVE FINGER DEATH PUNCH since Friday night's [September 18] show in Las Vegas. He has not responded to calls, text messages, or emails, and he was last seen around 2:00 a.m. Friday night at Wasted Space in the Hard Rock Casino, taking tequila shots at the bar with a group of guys from a bachelor party who came to the show. "If anybody has any information as to the whereabouts of Zoltan, please email ffdp@prospectpk.com immediately. This is not like him and the band needs to prepare for the upcoming tour. We have already notified the appropriate authorities, but any help Vegas fans might be able to provide is very much appreciated." It should be noted that someone logged in to Zoltan's personal MySpace profile earlier today (Sunday, September 20), which makes the entire story a little suspect. FIVE FINGER DEATH PUNCH is scheduled to begin "The Shock And Roar Tour" on Tuesday (September 22) in San Francisco, finishing up sometime in early November. Joining them on the bill will be SHADOWS FALL, OTEP and 2 CENTS. Perhaps he was captured by a group of "over 40" musicians trying to break thru as an aging emo band? Jealous of FFDP's success, they're keeping him in a pink garage somewhere in Vegas. While there arguing over the correct way to write a ransom note, they're torturing him by crying and whining their sob stories and suicidal ambitions.
Look for a black envelope covered in My Little Pony stickers.

No matter who the band or person is you never wanna read something like this. I hope the dude's alright. With that said, if this is some sort of publicity stunt or something, that's really fucking sick and stupid. I hope, for their own sake, that these guys are smarter than that.

I'm not a fan of FFDP. Even so, if this is a stunt, don't pull shit like this off. If this isn't a stunt, I really sincerly hope he's ok. I hope that nothing bad happened to him! Good luck finding him.

I mean come on...if this is for real then without doubt Phil Fasciana (Malevolent Creation) stopped a robbery at a local gas station while buying chocolate milk...& killed the robber with the robber's own gun...

Well I hope he is ok. I have tickets to see them on tuesday, wich is my birthday. I hope that they find him and everything is good. Would be cool is shadows fall just headlined the show of they didn't show, instead of canceling it. But the guitarists well being is the most important thing though....

it would have to be serious for a band to be making this public as it would ruin their reputation (if they have one) as a tight unit who show up on time and are always set to play for promoters to hire them. they wouldnt want to make something like this public without serious consideration.

Safe to say there is still no shortage of self-interested a-holes who get off on trying to get people upset while safely behind their keyboard in their high school special ed computer lab. This kind of person thrives on the offended responses of level-headed individuals due to their own feelings of inadequacy and need for constant attention, good or bad. These types have a very difficult time with socializing and generally have few close relationships. I guess I feel sorry for them more than anything.
Regardless, I'm fairly certain this situation is no publicity stunt as it would be career suicide to upset fans by lying to them so blatantly and maliciously. It's entirely likely they decided to bring this to the attention of the fans and general public in an expedient manner so as to get as many people on the search as possible. Love or hate the band, I hope this is all just some misunderstanding and he shows up in one piece. He has friends, family and fans who care about him and want to see him turn up soon.

I truely believe that he IS missing. Many, including myself are worried about Zoltan. He is a good man whom is upfront, honest, serious, caring, etc. Therefore, it would NOT be like him what so ever to pull a stunt just for publicity.
The other thing is, I have never known Zoltan to drink but, that doesn't mean he doesn't have a few now and then. He takes all his work (music, graphic arts, etc) very seriously and would never jeopardize it. So again...I REALLY don't think this is a joke... PLEASE help find him!!
