20 Years Of HELMET: 200 Canvases By PAGE HAMILTON - Oct. 5, 2009
To mark the 20-year anniversary of HELMET, lead singer/guitarist Page Hamilton has constructed a highly personalized project of contemporary art for believers worldwide.

"Close to Home" is an unprecedented venture into the fine art world for the band, combining handwritten lyrics, graphic art and paint into one massive canvas series consisting of 200 drafts only.

Hamilton will be revealing various aspects of the canvas series throughout the month of October prior to its Halloween 2009 release.

Yeah man, definitely. Because hard rock and heavy metal is all about the "hits". Get this man a Backstreet Boys CD. By the way you got your Johns mixed up. Stanier was the fucking man, Tempesta was just a seat filler/session musician.

Meantime was an excellent cd. Helmet took a major hit when Peter Mengede left. What has happened to Page's singing? It ruined the newer releases.

Uhh, Helmet wasn't and isn't about hits...I'd be willing to bet Page doesn't give a shit one way or the other...

"Best thing that ever happend to Helmet was John Tempesta. "

Funniest thing I've read so far today...thanks for the laugh...I've always thought Tempesta was overrated...he can't touch Stanier...based on your statement I'm sure you preferred Bello over Bogdan...

"In the Meantime", "Unsung", "Wilma's Rainbow", "Milquetoast", "Exactly What You Wanted"....and those are just from the classic era of Helmet.

Hey beanhead, it's not about the hits. Come back and chat when you figure out the metal.
