LIFE OF AGONY To Perform Entire 'River Runs Red' Album In Sayreville - Oct. 6, 2009
LIFE OF AGONY will perform its acclaimed debut album, "River Runs Red", in its entirety at Starland Ballroom in Sayreville, New Jersey on November 28 in celebration of the band's 20-year anniversary.

LIFE OF AGONY has played sporadic shows over the course of the last four years after completing its successful touring cycle for the 2005 Epic Records release, "Broken Valley". The band is currently without a record deal, having parted ways with Epic four years ago.

LIFE OF AGONY frontman Keith Caputo's latest solo album "A Fondness For Hometown Scars", was released in Europe in April 2008 via Suburban Records. The CD was produced by Martyn Lenoble (JANE'S ADDICTION, DAVE GAHAN, PORNO FOR PYROS, THE CULT); mixed by Vincent Jones (SARAH MCLACHLAN, DAVID GAHAN, MORRISSEY) and Martyn Lenoble; and was mastered by George Marino at Sterling Sound in New York City.

SPOILER NYC, the New York-based punk trio featuring LIFE OF AGONY's Alan Robert on lead vocals and bass, recently uploaded two new songs — "Damaged Goods" and "Banned in 38 States" — to the band's MySpace page. The tracks come off the group's forthcoming album, "Banned in 38 States", which was recorded and mixed by Grammy Award-winning producer Ken Lewis (LENNY KRAVITZ, BEASTIE BOYS) for a 2010 release through an as-yet-undisclosed label.

Professionally filmed video footage of LIFE OF AGONY's performance at the Area 4 festival, which was held August 21-23, 2009 in Lüdinghausen, Germany, can be viewed below.

I still listen to it on a daily basis. It still holds up after all these years. I last saw LOA back in December 2008! They put on such a awesome show. Them doing the whole RRR CD sounds really cool.

I saw them play earlier this year and they freaking killed it. River runs is a classic and hopefully they have another good album or two left in them.

This is awesome..Because I have been dying to hear "The Stain Remains" since they got back together. But ya know..I really wish they played more live from Ugly. I really love that album!

I have come to the conclusion that there are more River Runs Red fans then there are actual Life of Agony fans..Think about it...

To me it seems when they need a quick buck they do a show and go through the motions of playing the one album all of the close-minded post-rrr haters wanna here..

was a grower, and of their best records IMO. Sure it was a little more commercial sounding, but they were already moving in that direction with SSS, and B.V was basically the record that SSS should have been.

Shame the record company didn't promote it.

RRR should be held in the highest regard as an epic album that deserves to be mentioned with all the other great metal/thrash/hardcore albums released since 1981.

Awesome! I was too young to see them when this album came out and now I have a second chance! I do hope they play a few songs off broken valley since I enjoy that album a lt.

Just like how AIC was at one point, too bad this band is rather forgotten amongst younger generation - anyone that got into music through nu-metal, and anyone that came into music after that nu-metal era.

I'm glad I stumbled across RRR tho! I love it as well!

RRR is an top notch. Ugly never gets its due and I think it kicks just about as much ass as RRR. Just one notch below RRR. SSS to me was ok but that album was made with about 10% of Keith's heart into it. Got some decent tunes. Broken Valley to me really felt like a power struggle between what Alan and Joey wanted the bands direction to go and what Keith wanted to do. I think Alan and Joey really gave into Keith's direction too much. Some great lyrics(as on every LOA album) but the musical side was just wrong for the most part. It's like Joey and Alan got there say in about 4 songs and the rest was Keith and the producers vision. Just really sounds like almost two completely different albums put together when you listen to it. They still got it as Love to Let you Down could've been on RRR and fit right in.

When they headline there own shows they pretty much already play about 7 songs or so off of RRR. So they aren't missing much. Like another poster said they seem to really skip over Ugly for the most part. Off the top of my head the few times I've seen them headline they only play about 2/3 songs off of it and 4 at the most.

This does not surprise me. Perhaps the band has realized what fans have. The only album LOA has that is worth while is RRR. That album is arguably the best debut metal album along with Appetite by GNR. After that album the band's work has declined rapidly. Ugly has a song or 2, Soul seearching sun is not even listenable and broken valley blows. The last 3 times I saw LOA I was disappointed because the continue to play shitty music off these shitty albums. Imagine playing "this time" , see the crowd rockin' and then play bkoken valley crap and see the croud get a beer or head for the pisser.
wake up LOA!
