GUNS N' ROSES: Canadian Concert Announcement Coming On Monday? - Oct. 15, 2009

Canadian concert promoters Gillett Entertainment Group (Groupe Spectacles Gillett) have launched a countdown on their web site to a "major announcement" that will be made on Monday, October 19 at 7:00 a.m. EST. The accompanying image, which can be seen below, features a close-up of GUNS N' ROSES singer Axl Rose's mouth, which suggests that some Canadian dates may be in the works for the GN'R band.

GUNS N' ROSES is scheduled to play several shows in Taiwan, Korea nad Japan in December:

Dec. 11 - Taipei, Taiwan - Taipei County Stadium
Dec. 13 - Seoul, Korea - Olympic Park Gymnastics Stadium
Dec. 16 - Osaka, Japan - Osaka Dome
Dec. 19 - Tokyo, Japan - Tokyo Dome

"Chinese Democracy", the sixth and most recent album from GUNS N' ROSES, was released in its entirety to the Rock Band Music Store catalog of downloadable content on April 14.

The tracks are available for purchase as an album or individual tracks for Xbox 360 and PlayStation 3 system. The tracks are available for purchase as individual tracks only for Wii.

Aside from Billboard and Spinner interviews and answering a number of fan questions at a GUNS N' ROSES message board, Rose has done no promotion of any kind for "Chinese Democracy".

"Chinese Democracy" was officially certified platinum by the Recording Industry Association of America (RIAA) on February 3, 2009 for shipments in the United States in excess of one million copies.

	Prediction for the 4 Japan dates: The first one will start about 45 minutes late and be decent. The second one will start about 4 hours late and be lame. The last 2 will be canceled. And the Canadian shows will never happen.

	The 'funny' thing about the Guns n' Roses (or rather, The Axl Rose Band) riot in Vancouver is that it was the Management of General Motors Place which cancelled that show. Axl had not even arrived in town at the point of the show being cancelled at only 8:00PM. Supposedly Axl Rose was making his way to Vancouver for yet another typically late appearance. It was a stupid move on the part of General Motors Place. Anyways, fuck this nonsense. I'm much more interested in Exodus and Arch Enemy playing the Commodore ballroom on February 5!

	Has always been interesting for Axl. There was the mini Riot after they opened for the Cult where kids took over a city bus and continued the party and assaulted the driver and passengers.... and the main Riot. I`m not so sure how we will react if he tries again. I would go just to see the chaos.

	why it's worth seeing this "Guns N' Roses" is due to DJ Ashba the closet that the band will ever get to having Slash again. Say what you will but i'll take DJ Ashba anyday over Buckethead or who ever else made up GNR over the years after the original band left.

	please come to van.. dj ashba is good enough to fill slash's shoes in Gn'r but he is not better than buckethead. No one in the current gn'r line can better buckethead.. just listen to the solos on chi-dem played by buckethead or some of bucket's solo stuff.

	Just because some of you don't like Axl, doesn't mean the rest of us have to follow suit. That's what's wrong with America today, people are just fall in line with what the majority of the people think at the given time. That's why we have Obama and his brand new 43% approval rating. Anyway, if they do this tour, I hope they break out some of the other two or three albums worth of songs that are supposed to be released. I like ChiDem, but I am already sick of the songs from it. Also, throw in some different songs on the playlists. They were way too repetative in 2006. Let's here some songs off of Illusions besides November Rain, Don't Cry, and You Could Be mine.
